  3. I wrote a detailed and lengthy answer to your questions and then clicked the wrong button and lost it all. I do not have the patience to write it all down again. Sorry about that. However, after my critique of "The Promise" you wrote that these things you already knew so my lost reply on this photo was probably unnecessary. My comments about the other three photos in this folder was simply to make the point that we are seeing about the same way on our different monitors. "bells and whistles" means the more "bells and whistles" the more features. The more expensive a car or camera the more "bells and whistles". I relied on Zones when taking photos. It is most fascinating. All that I learned you can find in: "The New Zone System Manual" 1978 by Minor White "Zone System: Step by Step Guide for Photographers" 2001 by Brian Lav Both can be ordered from Amazon I found Zone photography (developed by Ansel Adams) to be a most fascinating and learning experience. Book on photography I most recommend is "Looking at Photographs 100 Pictures from the Collection of The Museum of Modern Art" 1976 by John Szarkowski Also on Amazon I was serious about photography for over 20 years. I no longer do photography other than post a snapshot now and then or post a photo taken years ago. Photography lost it's magic for me. Nice meeting you. Meir
  4. Sweid; I looked at "I Miss My Mom", "Getting Older", "April" and "Oh...Let Me Think" in this same folder. The problem is not with our monitors. In the old film days the "rule of thumb" was to "expose for the shadows and develop for the highlights".  In the digital nowadays I expect it would be expose for the shadows and adjust for the highlights. Matrix metering pretty much does this for you except in extreme light situations. I have an Adobe Photo Shop Basic Version year 1996 included with my first PC purchase so I do not have the 'bells and whistles' that you guys have. Meir

    THE PROMISE

The attachment (stunning) is what "fine art" photography tries to achieve and how I critique "fine art". Hence my criticism.

  7. The room in reality is not dark, not that dark.  You photo shopped it into something it isn't.

  10. 'Anonymous' is the default. Registered Republican, moderate to strong right on state and national issues Pro "Protestant Work Ethic" Pro "State's Rights" Pro 2nd Amendment Pro background checks and closing gun-show loopholes Pro law and order Support the death penalty Affordable Care Act needs fixing. 11. Anti Immigration is not racism. The majority of Muslims, Latinos, and the American "silent majority" (as you labeled them) are of the same race. Perhaps call it "prejudicial"? As for 'hate'. Hate is a lot like love. You don't understand it until you have it.
  12. Than I misspoke. Thanks for the correction.
  13. How about we trade you Netanyahu for Trump?? Post Script. We already have our wall. :-) It doesn't work very well.
  14. 1.5 million (1.6 million as of November 19th) amounts to winning the popular vote by 1.3% of the total vote which is hardly a "large majority", as you put it. Furthermore, if 1.3% justifies a win; what about 1%? .5%? .1%? Me might just keep fucking recounting till hell freezes over. Note also that when Obama won which you alluded to, the losers were not rioting, smashing windows, looting, shooting and burning cars.
  15. Her expression and the branches between seem to say (to me); There is a boundary. Don't step across.
