Wow! Some really great stuff y'all!
By order of my girlfriend I took some portraits of a newly engaged couple for the said girlfriend's project. You'll see it again later I'm sure. Anyway as I was unhappy with their stiff, ultra-posed look I decided to have a little fun with one...
Heed the signs, they warn you away for a reason!

I have been looking for an extra/ back-up body for my 50D. I wanted something inexpensive because I'm planning on taking it in the ocean (in a housing) to get some shots of surfers, waterscapes, etc. I found a 10D online for $150. US, including shipping. I got it in and was surprised at the output. It seems they sent me the "other 10D" that was going out for rental. I', now awaiting the real purchase as I've shipped the IR camera back.

I have had a few done, and given some as gifts to friends, and I've been very pleased with the results. I actually have a couple that are hanging outside so I can see how they hold up. I think this presentation style is perfect for the outside living space, having an actual photo you want just like in your inside living space. My girlfriend has our deck, tiki bar and the outside shower walls decorated with the beach theme stuff; colorful fish, birds, etc. wall hangings. Now she's able to add her favorite pics too. I've got a friend that runs a beach themed gift shop, and she's interested in putting a few of my pieces up in her place for sale; on the metal. I've never taken myself to serious about this, but we'll see how this goes.

Well, I'm no expert, but I did recieve a telescope as a "gift", and have played with it a little. This is a Celestron 8.5" telescope that I adapted my 50D to....

Unfortunately I did not have it with me during the eclipse, and I could probably do a little better with the processing...

I'd think that a length of threaded rod or possibly even the correct length stud(1/4-20?) could be purchased at a hardware store.
My first thoughts about it makes me think it would balance awkwardly, and be troublesome when it came time to change the batteries.
Good luck,
