Thanks for looking

A nicely exposed image of an unusual building and a difficult one to shoot Rod.
I might have been tempted to sharpen it a touch, but that is your decision!

I'd like to see this in full colour! let down here slightly with some obvious stitch marks dead centre.

Hi Aris
The larger version appears much sharper, on this smaller, softer version the foreground is a Little intrusive, but not so on the larger version.
I would prefer a shallower depth of field to put more emphasis on the butterfly.

Many thanks for your kind comments Jennifer. I always try for something a little unusual, but these days it is hard to get something that hasn't already been done.

Shot from a couple of inches to emphasize the grain in the weather
beaten Oak boards of the famous curved Pier.

My first camera. Given to me by my dad when I was 11
I would say thanks for the memory, but I fired off the shutter just yesterday to keep it in trim. I really ought to take it out in the wild more often though.

Paul
Incidentally, I highly recommend that camera to anyone looking for a cheap way into 6x6 medium format (film) photography.

A lovely winter scene Floriana, but my eye can't help being dragged up to the slightly messy and wasted space on the top of the image.
I would consider framing it better by cropping the top down to where the branches of the trees on the left and right meet in the middle.
Try scrolling down to hide the top part of the frame and it will give you some idea.
Hope you don't mind my input

Hi Saleem.
I'm not sure what you have done here, whether or not you have used two images, or one image with a diffused background.
Either way, I like the exposure, composition and lighting on the lead horseman, but, personally I would like to see a more detailed 'realistic' view on the horsemen in background, the sky is just fine.

A Medium contrast conversion to black & white from my previous upload, after a couple of members expressed a desire to see a b&w version.
Thanks for looking and a happy New Year to all.
