Every time I pass these spires I yearn to capture its essence. I am
told that the two spires/stacks on the left may be torn down soon so
if anyone has any suggestions on how I can improve upon this image,
please let me know while I can still take more.
I look forward to your comments.
Thank you.

I personally think I like the b/w better. Any comments? Do you agree, disagree. . . ?

I liked this image because of the strong lines of the pose. The left
arm for instance...
What do you think?

This pose reminded me of a greek statue. I also tried a b/w version
shown below. What are your thoughts?

Is this an improvement or too much?

This is another favourite from my recent model shoot. I liked the
childelike look of the subject. I almost imagine there should be a
teddy bear somewhere abouts. What do you think?

This is my favourite shot from my recent model shoot because I think
it shows the models vulnerability. Again I wonder if it's better in
colour or B/W. I am leaning towards colour, but what do you think.

This flower almost seems to have a face. It caught my eye while in the
Royal Botanic gardens recently.

The building was unremarkable, but this door always caught my
attention. Ususually there was a car in front of it blocking the view
but I finally got lucky and got this shot. Something kept drawing me
to this door.

I passed this many times and every time I did I wanted to take a
picture of it. This is a Closeup of the ironwork above the door.

A Magnolia flower in the Royal Botanic Gardens. B/W conversion using
Power Retouche and some darkening of background elements to make the
flower pop more.

A really strong image. You must have been up very early or late in the afternoon to get this nice contast, adding to the impact of the image. My only suggestion would be to clone out the person in the background, or to have taken two exposures to bring out the detail in the person.

Sharp, great contrast, and I love the idea of an eye closup and this one was executed very well. Good angle making the eye more oblique. I think a shot like this would work in either colour or B/W. Very nice.

Better in Colour or black and white?

I was using a filter to create those deeply saturated blacks you see in Tri-X. It doesn't look underexposed on my colour calibrated monitor, but it was brighter when in colour and before b/w processing to increase the contrast. As for the buildings. How about this as a solution.

I used a skin softening filter on the pic. Here is the pic without that applied.
