  1. I enjoy both of my F6 and D3. for film photography you do need to worry about filters when most people set auto white balance when they use digital one. Luckly, my local store only charge me 3 dollars for a roll film develop plus scan to a digital format and I don't know how long they will keep this service. I really like F6 more than D3 for photography. But D3 is more powful and convenient in most time. Hope you enjoy your film camera.
  2. I used the same lens with filter to take the picture with all apertures and most ISO and I have not vignetting problems even I set ISO 6400. I had similar vignetting problem with my 70-200/2.8 VR lens that I posted sometimes ago.
  3. I am living in Shanghai, China now. The price you pay here is almost same as you pay in US. For current exchange rate (rough 1:7.4 of US dollar:RMB) I payed 35500 RMB for my D3 that about $4800 in Dec. 2007. I also bought three lens 14-24/2.8, 24-70/2.8, 70-200/2.8 at the same price 13500RMB (about $1800). I did not find fake Nikon cameras and lens in Chian and there are no more or less quility issues as in US since all Nikon products come from the same manufactures. You can find a lot of fake filters in China but not cameras and lens. As other poeple mentioned, if you buy here, the warranty does not cover them back to US. Grey market cameras and lens (usaully from HongKong) have no warranty and if something is wrong, you have to go back to store and it could be very tricky so I would not consider to buy grey market product for any thing over $300.
  4. I just tested the demo one in Nikon show room. Unfortunate demo was used badly and it can not tell anything. I will find another one to do a comparision and tell your guys what is the result. I am very dispointed for this lens performance.
  5. Yes, Shun and Tom, we discussed on Jan. 3. and that time I thought it was caused by filter and hood. But after i read Jerry's post I rechecked my lens and found that problem was not actually caused by filter and hood (sometimes it produced a picture without dark corners, but sometime it does). My question is if this len performs in the way it is surposed to be. If not, what I can do since Nikon service center people said there was nothing wrong with this lens.
  6. After reading discussion about 70-200mm VR, I sent my one to Nikon service

center in Shanghai, China last Saturday. Today I called them and was told

taht the lens has no any problem. I can see dark corners even at F6.3. My

    question is:

Does this lens perform normally? (dark corners at F6.3 86mm)

Where I can complain about this except service center in Shanghai?<div>00O6rM-41183784.JPG.abf75e5ca0e15e77cd6e39af5d219e7b.JPG</div>
