Vary nice shot, and anyone would have to get really nitpicky to find an area for improvement. Background is soft and compliments the shot well. Just as a personal preference, I would like to have seen just a touch more space between the edge of the shot and the tail. As you noted there are many personbal tastes and preferences involved. Lovely shot. Regards.....Dave

Very nice shot Dimitare. It shows good in flight panning technique on your part. It's always a challenge with underwing lighting (especially a dark bird). Monte is right (as always) about the benefit of an overcast day. Congratulations on the lens. I almost wish I had gotten the 400 prime instead of the 100-400 zoom. I'm told the prime is sharper wide open and also focuses faster for birds in flight.

Mike, I really like the toning on this image. Good angle and well balanced. For those familiar with the "Stang" it really tells the story.

Great work. Really powerful angle and control of DOF. Beautiful color and clarity. Some of your best work.

I don't think you could have asked for a better DOF than this. The shot really tells the story. By the way, hand held?, low light? have you been off coffee for a while fella?. Wanted to rate 6/7 but the system won't let me give a 7 for 14 days. Good Grief !!

As noted above, the sharpness is impeccable. What really strikes me is how much I like the vignetting on this shot. It really does force you right into the bird. Really done well.

Very nice colors and soft background. I like the compositon as well.

Great colors and fantastic shot as usual. Although the bird itself makes for a great shot, I think that the curved wake in the water really sets this one above many others. Congratulations

Nice shot with good detail and a clean background. Just a bit tight in the frame for my taste.
-
The bird is great, and the soft background adds even more to the shot.

As Mary said, great detail and light. If I might be nit picky for a moment, you may want to try and tone down the bacground branch coming from the bill to the right edge just a touch. It seems a bit distracting. Again it's nit picky and only my personal preference. Great shot !

Nice colors and patterns. It looks just a bit soft on my screen (Old Eyes?), but otoh it gives it an artistic flavor. My only real concern is a large amount of dark space in the left center. Maybe a dodge of that area miht bring some life there. Glad that you could salvage the shot

Another sharp image. Keep em coming. Things are slow up here.

Good exposure and I like the square crop. Nice catchlight in the eye also.

Excellent exposure with sharp detail. Love the backround colors

As Mary said, great backround and excellent composition. Nice pose from the bird also,
