    Looks like there was pretty harsh sunlight when you took this... have you tried underexposing a bit to pull out the bands of black in the bee?

    I like the use of light, though I feel that the message is a little mixed... to me the, well, smirk on her face feels a little misplaced. Is there a specific mood you're trying to evoke?

    I like the motion and energy, it makes you want to get up and get going. Unfortunate that the details of the rock in the lower right got lost behind the spray.

    Thanks for the compliment and the suggestion... Just took a look at the suggested crop and I think I prefer it as is. I like that you can see the next step developing and imagine the footprints continuing past the frame of the shot.

    Is the shallow depth of field intentional? To me the face of the snake and the rocks around it don't hold enough interest to be the sole focus (literally and figuratively) of the shot. If that's the goal I'd try and fill the frame with the snake's face so the viewer gets a chance to explore it some more.

    Excellent composition, I like the feel that the monochromatic look gives. Would be nice if the outline of the middle child wasn't competing with the ship.
