i almost want to open a new thread about sig30/1.4. currently i own 50/1.8II,i have no much complaints about this lens aside from too long for a normal lens and flair even with street lights at night. i know that lens hood could eliminate that problem.

my main concern is the image quality vs the popular 50/1.8.

does the sig30/1.4 is wort the change/trade from 50/1.8?

currently i have 400D with the kit lens EF-S 17-85ISUSM. is it worth

changing/trading it with SIGMA18-200OS or should i stick with the kit lens and

just add EF70-300ISUSM.

my purpose is more on walk around with a bit of longer reach.

how about the image quality of 18-200 compared with 17-85? can anyone please

post a picature taken with thia lens?

hi guys, thanks alot for your time to give advice about my dilemma. i hope, this thread would be usefull to other who's having thesame.

offcorse, i'm planning to watch the '08 season. for sepang, i think i really need the 400mm coz the audience is farther away from the track itself. unlike here in SG, since the track is more similar to Monaco, the audience is more closer to the action.

i also heard about the "lens cheating" thing, you just have to put a tape or something to a specific pin on a 3rd party lens in order to cheat the camera's aperture reading. thanks steve.
