<p>I haven't noticed any moire yet on my K-3. I shoot mostly landscapes but also people doing things in them like mountain biking or rafting. I've also done some portraits. I only turned on the AA simulator once to check it out when the camera was new. </p>

<p>Thanks for sharing Hin. I'd like to see some of those photos too. I don't own any Takumars. The closest I came was buying a box of old Pentax stuff from an ad in the paper but the $300 the guy wanted seemed too steep at the time. In retrospect I probably should have bought it. <br /> As for the ugly camera, I don't find it any uglier than any other medium sized black camera. As long as it's not attention-grabbing ugly (hot pink, for example) it sure doesn't matter to me.</p>

<p>Thanks Duane, I love my SMC DA 40 and also don't find any balance issues with it. But I do need to support the camera with my other hand under the camera body instead of the lens barrel because there isn't one! </p>

<p>I'm very happy with my Tamron 28-75/2.8. <p>I've seen this on my K-5 when the battery is starting to get low, but not low enough to think I had to be concerned. </p>

<p>I used to have a Pentax-M 135/2.5 and it was a beautiful lens. I still regret parting with it (although it funded the purchase of my beloved DA 15 so I don't regret that part). It was great with film on my ME Super especially. <br> You have to be willing to do green button metering with digital which could be an issue. It forces you to slow down which can be good or bad depending on circumstances. <br> Now I have a Sears 135/2.8 with macro that I picked up for $40 on eBay. It's an A series lens so metering is more intuitive and the optics are decent, especially for the money. The macro feature is junk IMO and I never use it. Some like the "glow" but to me it's just lack of clarity.
