LOL, I changed my order to the Urban Disguise 50, After looking more closely, I think the extra space will come in handy
-
Bennett: I just finished up placing my order for 2 Think Tanks. I got the digital Holster 20 for my light and easy walk around town days and the Urban Disguise 30 for when I need to pack a couple extra lenses. The 50 seemed like more then I need. It looks like the 30 will hold the 5D and 28-70 mounted plus 2 more lenses. Do you think it will be too small ?
-
I really like the Crumpler 5 Million dollar bag. I only carry max 2 lenses incuding one mounted andno speedlight. I like the idea of easily gabbing the camera and shooting. Do you gus thing the 5d and 28-70 mounted will fit ?
-
My walk around lense is te 24-70 2.8L and its big and heavy
-
I still havent beeable to find an ideal bag for walk around street photography
for my Canon 5D. I dont carry more then 2 lenses, but the camera is heavy. Any
recomendations ?

It seems that one needs 5000 plus images (GOOD images) before any decent revenues begin, in microstock at least.

Just curious what some of the pros think about the photo-blog phenomina and how
it relates to the business of photography. From a fine-art perspective there
are lots of fantastic blogs out there, but in a business -dollars -and -cents
world where does this fit in?
-
Wow Doak, GREAT article! According to them, lots of photographers makeing big $$ on microstock. Very interesting

Here is my photo blog from the streets on nyc:

What do you guys think of AAU's MFA in photography that is now offered online?
What do you guys think about an MFA in general?
-
In my opinion, you would be better served going to a local community college and majoring in fine art/ photography. If you already have a college degree then go for a MFA in fine art photography.
-
yes your right about the money being subjective. I wonder what the top earners bring in annually from stock. Care to speculate?
-
Curious if anyone is making decent money shooting solely stock these days ?

Hey Gary:
I looked at your site and see your from Yonkers? Wow we're neighbors, I live in Scarsdale.
-
LOL, and I thought I was the only strugling photographer who also is a real estate agent. Hey what can I say, it pays the bills and pays for those lenses and cameras :)
-
Thanks guys. Right now I am just pissed for not buying the kit, I ordered the body from CANOGA Camera (which are grat folks) and had I simply got the kit the lenswould have been about 700. instead of 1000
-
I recently bought a 5D body and printer and now I want to buy the 24-105 Lense
and realize I could have saved $400.00 had I got them together ! Can someone
tell me where I can pick one up at the best price?
-
Now I am deressed. I ordered the 5 and printer and its in route, but had I bought the kit with the 24-105mm I would have saved $400.00 :(
-
Well I just ordered a new Canon 5D and I am in need of what I like to call a
walk around lense. I shoot most strret scenes in New York City. Before my last
system got stolen I was using a 30D and my favorite walk around lense for
everyday street photography was the EFS 17-55 F2.8 IS but now I am thinking
would the EF 16-35 F2.8L be a better choice? The only drawback is that it does
reach ut to 55mm. What do you guys think? I need to be at 2.8 for the low light
shooting I do.
-
Thanks Andre!
Whats Circuit City asking for just on the body alone? I didnt even know CC carried pro photo stuff.

Guys I need an opinion. I just got an Epsom R1800 last week. Its still in the box new. So should I sell the Epsom or the Canon Pro9000 on Ebay? I am interested in printing large and archival for display.
-
Thats kind of what I leaning on keeping, I think its a better machine. I will throw the Canon on ebay
-
Well I am buying a Canon 5D and It comes with a Pixma 9000, I have a brand new
Epsom R1800 in the box that was given to me last month as a gift. So I am going
to sell one of these on EBAY. The question is which one? Which one should I
keep? I will be printing large archival photos for display in galleries. Thanks
for your advice
-
Hi Kevin:
Yea its about a $40.00 difference from B and H but the big savings is in the sales tax thats about another $200.00.
What do you think about a GENERIC BATTERY from EBAY for my 5D ?
