Yan, Beautiful shot. This is one of the places in the world that I have always wanted to go to, but have never made it. You shot reminds me again that I need to get there some day. You have captured all of the elements that make this place special. Nicely done, and thanks for sharing it with us.

One of the things that I like about photographing Aspens in the Fall is that
they light them self's even if the sun is not out. In this shot it was actually
raining a little. This shot is located at the South end of the Sawtooth
mountains of Idaho at the base of Galena Summit.
-
Nat many venture to the Sawtooths mountains of central Idaho to shoot fall
colors, but that is where I went. Sometimes you get a little lucky when a
rainbow appears.

I ran across this little Iris hidden along a some bushes along a stream near
Castle Rock in Southern Idaho. It found a little spot where it could catch
some of the sun.

Thank you guys for your comments. It is funny, I used a polorizer filter and it darkens the sky so much that I actually had to unsaturate it. Never had to do that before. I will take another stab at it and leave it untouched.

Little house on the Prairie, liberality. I just could not pass this one up. I
generally crop in tight, this one I tried to leave open. Am I too far away?
Thanks for your comments.

I Posted an Image from the same location and the comment on that shot
was the horizon was too centered. This one the horizon is moved up a bit. I
also dropped the background out of focus a little to give more focus to the
Camas flowers in the foreground.
Thanks for your comments.
This is first light on the Camas Prairie near Fairfield Idaho. The Flowers are
Camas Lilly's, I found this one white on in a field of blue. Not many places
better than this to watch the sun rise.

This is a Sunrise shot of the Camas Prairie near Fairfield Idaho. The sky
flashed read only for a few moments. I also found this lone white Camas
Lilly to add a little uniqueness.

Amir, Looks like something from outer space. Very well captured. Fine job capturing the sun. The contrast between the reflective suns gleam and the shadow is just great. My only criticism is that the shadow of the spire is cut off.

I lost the sun one morning, so I put on my Macro lens and started
shooting grasses. This is one of my favorites from that morning. I
hope you agree.

Great shot of Steptoe Ryan. Winter is the season for Black and white, and with that sky, I would say a very good choice for this image. I think you have every tone of gray in the gray scale well represented. I also like your framing. Off setting Steptoe give this image flow, there is almost a little "S" curve formation between the land and clouds.

Great shot. The fog really adds to the mood. It seems so 2 dimensional at first, then you eye finds where the cyclists turn toward the camera. That added good depth tot he shot. Well composed and well done.

Ya, You composition is just great on this image and you B&W processing is nice, Good contrast and balance range of tones. My thing I see is the limbs of the standing tree look much darker than the other limbs. Maybe a gradient tool? I am not sure. It might have a different feel it you could gain more detail in the limbs. Great shot though, thanks for posting it.

I was in the Desert of Southern Idaho taking some shots when I ran
across this furniture sitting on a knoll. I did not put it there. I
could not pass it up. I spent some time composing it to get the
mountain and sunset turning clouds in the shot. It is close and I plan
to go back, and suggestions for future shots?

This is a shot I tool of Albertson's Park in Boise Idaho last weekend.
I do not generally leave these morning shots this dark. I would like
some input if it is too dark or not. Thank You

This is an old Truck in the middle of a field on Micron Technology
property in Boise Idaho, that I have driven by for the last 22 years.
I finally stopped. I think I might stop again sometime.

Thank you all for the kind words of encouragement.
Mark Geistweite, to answer your question on HDR post processing. I generally expose 3 shots at 1.5 increments. I use Photomatix and the HDR set up. For the first HDR of a trip I spend a lot of time trying to dial it in just right trying to get the full range of tones and "NO" halos. Then I same it as a preset for that trip. This then becomes the starting point for the other HDRs from that trip.

Redfish Creek has always been a popular to shoot. I tried to stretch
the world and get as much as I could into this image. If you look
close you will see the Sawtooth's way off in the distance.
-
Paul, I have a weakness for Barns and you have a beauty here. I do not usually care of post processing textures to be added, but this one works. I can see why you cropped it with more sky. My only suggestion would be to give a little more space on the left and right side of the Barn and the tree. For my taste it is cropped a little tight. Very well done. Thanks for sharing.

A very quick 3 mile Cross Country ski trip got me to Redfish Lake in
Idaho in the Sawtooth Mountain Range. This is Redfish Creek down from
the Lake. You can see a walking bridge upper left. One thing I will
add is that this is a 3 exposure HDR

Great image and composition. The water looks a little silky, it also a little green. I also see what appears to be a sensor spot in the water.
