Great shot of Steptoe Ryan. Winter is the season for Black and white, and with that sky, I would say a very good choice for this image. I think you have every tone of gray in the gray scale well represented. I also like your framing. Off setting Steptoe give this image flow, there is almost a little "S" curve formation between the land and clouds.

Nice tones and contrast, nice image.

You timed this one perfectly Ryan.  I really does look like Steptoe is erupting.  I feel the b/w processing works very well for this scene.  If this were mine, I would try to make the brightest part of the image be the "eruption"  To do this I would crop the brightest clouds off the top and burn down the bright areas below the butte.  This would pull the eye directly to the "eruption" which I believe is the true subject of this photo.
