I can't believe this doesn't have a higher rating. The blues are wonderful and your eye moves all over this shot. Wonderful photograph!!!!

Thanks for the advise I will have to look into that and try again. Just last night I photographed the little dipper and Cassiopeia and I wasn't to thrilled with what I came up with now I can try something different thanks.
  1. The colors were not manipulated at all but I did have to crop a house out and then flipped the image under itself, sorry to say that's not a true reflection. I didn't use a filter or even do an auto fix in photo shop. What you're looking at is the back side of a tornado that ripped through three counties maybe 30 miles north of us in Wisconsin. Luckily no one was hurt because it went through counties that were mainly wooded. I have to say the colors on this day were amazing my rainbow sunset photograph was taken just minutes before this one.

I agree the comp is excellent, and I think the extreme bright light is what threw your focus off a little. Believe me Macro is hard to focus, especially with extreme bright light like that. My favorite macros are mushrooms and if that sun is beating down on some leaves it completely screws up my focus. Practice makes perfect and I truly have a lot of practicing to do too. This is a wonderful start and keep up the great work.

The clouds took such a strange form on this evening that I had to try and get a shot. The clouds in this picture may look double exposed but they are not.
