I agree, while I would like a FF to add on to my Canon 7D, I haven't found an overwhelming need for it. For ultra wide I have the Sigma 10-20 which works well. I will say that what makes me want a FF is the 35mm lenses I use adapted like the Olympus 21mm, Vivitar 28mm f2.0 (Kiron), Nikkor 35mm f1.4, the assorted 50-55mm f1.4-f2.8, Jupitor 85mm f2.0, 105mm f2.5-f2.8's (Nikkor, Soligor and Accura), and 135mm f2.5 that I have.

The 10-22mm is an EF-S lens and won't fit on a full frame camera like the 6D. You would have to get the Canon 16-35mm or 17-40mm to have a full frame equivalent.

-

Another well reviewed option is the Tokina 12-24mm f4. I have the Sigma and it is excellent.

-

I also recommend the Sigma 10-20mm.

Not To mention Canon makes printers, binoculars, projectors, copiers, calculators etc. All that factors into the bottom
line.

No, you want the opaque black plastic slide in cover (presuming the size you got was the P size equivalent)

I do alot of macros (especially insects) with a 105mm macro on my 7D. I do handheld exclusively with my 550EX flash. I can see the advantage of the longer 150mm or 180mm (for distance from the bugs), but it would make handheld extremely difficult on the crop camera.

I too have the old Nikkor-P non-ai version and it is quite nice. Colors are subtle not overly contrasty like newer lenses. I would suggest getting this version personally (lowest price and it is has its own personality).

-
Or you could even get both. The Nikkor-P 105mm f2.5 can be had for under $125 on ebay.
-
Dd you try resetting it to factory?
-
Hi Frank, I am waiting for the shipment from eBay, so nothing yet.

Hi Sarah,
it's OK, i understand. I am very sorry to hear that. I definitely understand that family is more important, I have a wife of 20+ years
and 3 kids age 7, 10 and 14. I took a bunch of left over PTO time to be with them this Christmas season. A friend of
mine that I graduated high school with just lost her husband on Cristmas just before noon. He had just 2 weeks earlier
had his 48th birthday.

Some good budget options are the Canon 18-55mm IS (image stabilized - the newer one is quite a bit better than the old
one - we have both)' the Canon 50mm f1.8, Canon 40mm f2.8, Caon 55-250mm IS lens. I have the Canon 50mm f1.8
also and it is very nice!

Jeff, that meal looks awesome!

I am sorry I wasn't trying to be a show pony. I was just curious if other people got equipment or photo related gifts. I too
took timeoff to be with my family. The items I got we'ren't expensive ( not 1 was over $100). I was just trying to start a
conversation and now I wish I hadn't posted it.
-
Steve, do you want to adopt me so I can get a 5DIII for Next Christmas! Spending time in SW photographing sounds
great for vacation!

I bought some vintage lenses Soligor 24-45mmm, Vivitar Series 1 Tokina 90mm f2.5 macro, Vivitar 200mm f3 Series 1, Bushnelll 400mm, Vivitar 28mm f2.5 Tokina TX,, Soligor 85-300mm f5, Vivitar 75-
260mm TX, Canon 18-55mm IS (not vintage), battery pack 8 aa for my 550ex flash, viewfinder magnifier for manual focusing, lens
adapters, more batteries, 380ex flash that was used by LA Times used for my son, harness strap for my wife, sling backpack bag for my
wife, new generic battery grip for my 7d, Gary Fong Lightsphere for my wife, and a side waist bag so I can have lenses for easy access
while walking/hiking, copactflash cards for my son, and a 56 led light for video/macro.
-

How about the 100mm macro (no-IS) and a used 70-200mm f4 non-is? You can get both for the price of either of them.

What we did was take a separated picture in between. Something to distinguish each persos photos.
