  1. Hello, I'm a Londoner and just wondering if NYIP is distance learning only or can I go there and take a course? Is it

the most reputable school in NY for photography? I am interested in black and white analogue photography, lith

printing, experimental, historical processess and reportage...thanks, and sorry for crashing your post!

  2. I studied at London College of Communication, part of the University of the Arts, highly regarded and justifiably so, i took three ten week courses and later a one year course in black and white film photography....I would particularly recommend the courses run by the School of Media as opposed to the School of Graphic Design...the best tutors were Manuella Zanotti who teaches reportage portraiture and Adrian Mott who teaches studio and professional practice diploma....good luck....I studied with one student from Goldsmith's and his course in urban environment and photography (post grad) seemed unique and interesting...but I have not studied there....my best advice would be to take a course at a university or a further education college....as there are loads of private providers waiting to fleece you...I am now looking at courses at Camberwell College, also part of the University of the Arts and highly regarded for printing too....
  3. London College of Communication, the best school I have attended....http://www.lcc.arts.ac.uk, for degrees, MAs and short courses...part of the University of the Arts which also includes Central St Martins, which courses are much more expensive...Camberwell College also rated excellent for printing too....Westminster University is also highly reputable.....for all courses in the UK see www.skillset.org...good luck...I'm now looking to take a course outside the UK...
  4. I'm looking for people of all ages who are willing to take part in my

photography project. There is no budget available but I can offer you a print

for taking part. I live in Stoke Newington, North London and I'm a student at

London College of Communication, this work will be my final project submission.

I'm looking for non actors, just people with an interest in art and photography

and who enjoy having their photograph taken. I work with black and white film

so patience would be a virtue. Please email me for more information if you're

interested in getting involved. The shoots will be taking place now and until

    the end of May. Thanks

  5. categorising photography into black & white or colour seems to limit how we would interpret an image...it's just a choice made by the artist like the choice of paint an painter uses...I prefer to see it as just another creative choice rather than as representing something in itself which overpowers our understanding of the image
  6. Do you recommend om1 or om2, I have om10 at the moment and I want a new model.

I'm not sure of the differences and would like to hear from those who have

experience of both the om1 and om2.

    thank you

  7. Thanks John, I find it is hard to see when an image is in the sharpest focus, and I have had my vision checked. It's seems to be a matter of aliging the lines against an edge but this is not always possible...should I just trust my judgment or try hard to work with these lines?
