1.
Few images from Castle Point light house, New Zealand (North Island). Panorama created in PS. Canon 40D; 17-40 f4L.

 2. Duane, I believe YN565EX has an optical slave mode, try to fire it with your pop up flash. Often times you have to do this with M mode on the camera to avoid premature firing of optical slave because of ETTL pre flash. Post your results. Even this works you could have other issues. To fire a flash you need connectivity between center and earth while rest of the pins are communicating other data.
 3. Is there any way to test YN565EX on a different body to make sure it fires? Have used any speedlight on your XTi before? Want to make sure it is function properly, although you could see they communicate.
 4. You may also want to use a good quality circular polarizar to avoid undesirable reflections from diamond surfaces.
 5.
Igor,
When your CF card got corrupted were you using regular card reader (USB2) or faster card reader (USB3)? I had a similar situation with 32G UDMA7 CF card. Never had a CF card data corruption until that point.

 6.
Hi Mike,
I have the exact set up with 550EX and mine works. Try resetting YN622C-TX. Hope that works.

 7.
Hi Peter Meade,

Thank you for posting Phil Hughes image. What a tragic accident and we all miss this great Australian cricketer. Our thoughts are with the family.

 9.
One way to confirm that your adapter allows infinity focus is to try use another Nikon AI mount lens and test it. Hope that helps.

 10.
Hi Ellis,
Enjoyed your contributions to forum for years!
Have you looked at Toyota Highlander at all? It is a mid size SUV with great car like drivability. There is also hybrid version available. Second raw seats split/turn flat independently. Another option is Honda Accord Crosstour. Good luck!

 11.
Lex has suggested possibility of radio triggers. I have been using Cactus (from *bay) triggers for lighting in 100% manual mode. There are other brands available. If you plan to use high speed sync this is not the system for you, highest shutter speed I was able sync was 1/160. If you go with 550EX/580EX/600EX systems that will not be a problem.

 12.
I have been using Polaris light meter, mostly for meter flash out put. Polaris meter I have has an attachment for spot metering. Have a look at keh.com and they have a great selection and pricing is reasonable. Good luck!
