  1. Interested in answers to this one, myself...actually, I'm meeting w/a Maine gallery owner this afternoon, who originally approached me at the last craft show I was in! Please keep your fingers crossed, say a prayer, send up smoke signals--anything to help the cause! Do you have a gallery exhibit coming up? Your pix are so fantastic...any gallery would be lucky to have you! Good Luck, Buddy.
  2. jOSH...THANKS, ONCE MORE, FOR ALL THE TIME YOU'VE PUT IN ON THIS TOPIC. WHEN DO YOU SLEEP--OR EAT, FOR THAT MATTER?!?

HAVE YOU HEARD FROM THE LAWYER YET? DID SHE HAVE ANYTHING TO ADD TO WHAT WE'VE ALREADY DONE AND THINK WE CAN DO? which, now that they're in China, looks like we won't be able to much of anything. Still curious as to her input, tho.

Bob, I'd like to thank you, too, for all the work you've DONE since this happened. I don't know how you do all that finite research, but I'm impressed, and I for, one appreciate your doing all of it for us.

I'm calling it a night, folks....sleep well, my friends

  3. I don't think anyone has done this yet, and I've been following this thread from the beginning. Paul, you started a phenominal thread here...may be the, or one of the longest and most read threads ever! More importantly, it affected and concerned so many of us here. Our numbers alone may have been what got GoDaddy to shut down the pilferring website. I commend you for being so aware and caring enough about all of our collective works, to post this alert. Thank You very kindly, from all of us Paul.

Apparently the letter Paul Marbs wrote to GoDaddy made the strong impact we needed, and they suspended that website--at least temporarily. Keep those cards and letters going, folks!

  5. Here is the response I got from AdSense:

Evidently it's writing to Go.Daddy that gets us the desired results, as evidenced by the letter Paul M. received. Thanks, again, Paul!

Should we all keep writing in to Go.Daddy?

  6. Sorry, don't mean to sound dumb, but most of these abbreviations are foreign to me...please, what does DMCA mean? Also, we've got several addresses and opinions as to what, where and how to get our pix back; who has used what, and what kind of response have you gotten? Which of the above do you think is THE most appropriate and effective way to approach these thieves? Daniel, you are so right...it's high time to register w/the copyright office! Thanks you all for your concern and help.
  7. They got quite a few of mine, too! Not my best stuff, but pix of my family...I have got to get them out of there. Family should not be all over the 'net. They did not sign up for this crappola...neither did I! Is there a shorter url we can use? This is all very new to me, and extremely scary, not to mention disheartening. Guys...what's the best way to go at this point?
  8. Hey, Josh! I tried using that link, and put in what I wanted, to no avail. The name at the top of my PF stayed the same. I would like it to be "Lori-Beth Photography" instead of "Lori Lafargue Phot...". Is there another way I can do this? Or could it be done from admin side of things? Thanks for your help...and you, too, Emre and Robert! Be well, all...
  9. Yeah, Joshua, I've seen it, and have gone back to look at it closer 3x!. I did finally ask to open the box, and they did! It was surprisingly almost not so bad--for the $49 price tag. At my photography store, they wanted to sell me pretty much the same thing--different company--for $100 The only obvious difference was the color of the 'backdrop'. I, too, would be very interested in hearing from someone who purchased and used it. I almost bought it, but like you, stopped short of doing so (I actually took it as far as the ck-out!). Why didn't I? Not sure, perhaps just thought because "It's Walmart!"...
  10. Thanks, for the tip,John,

I actually sent her an email today! She had said I could call or write anytime, but I've been hesitant to do that til now. She gave me her personal email, but I used the business one. She lives here in my town, (the gallery is in Maine) so I could conceivably call and meet her somewhere to deliver the goods. Is that acceptable? This is one opportunity I do NOT want to lose!

  11. Well, believe it or not folks, I was approached at my last craft show by a

ligit gallery owner in ME! I still need to apply formally, but she was

impressed by my use of bold, bright color, and "unique style" and felt my pix

would draw customers and sell well enough to make me the offer. Since I am

still a novice at all of this I need your advice. What kind of info is a must

to include and what do I omit in a general letter of intent/bio, etc. The

gallery is in an artsy-fartsy tourist area in Searsport, ME...if you know the

area, input appreciated. I really want this! Please help me w/this? Thank you

    tons!
