Pierre, the water motion i like and in low light find it impossiible to not have motion, i feel it adds to the image. As to the color, that is the true colour of the water as the brown soil from beneath combined with warm sunlight gives this textures and color. But thanx anyways.

Shot this peaceful stream close to the Columbia River Gorge one morning.
Had some beautiful warm light filter through the trees to light up the scene.
Thanx for viewing!

Awsome shot!! Must have been quite a cool sight to see. Great texture on the rocks!!
-
Taken in Central Park with first light coming through the trees one
morning. I used an infrared filter to accentuate the white foliage against
black tree trunks. Thanx for viewing, C&C welcome.

Taken at Land's End, Los Cabos, Mexico. I would have like the sun to
have set a bit further south as to light up these rocks but instead had the
sunset coming from behind them. Still managed to retain detail in the
rocks. Comments welcome, thanx for viewing.

I don't think this shot is missing something, I think the green bush on the left is distracting from the great colour on the water and yellow tree. I think if you went into the river mid way and just focused on that yellow tree as a focal point it might be a stronger image. With the combination of blue and yellow light on the moving stream, coupled with a good vantage point of that tree could work.
Great image though!!

Thanx everyone for the kind words. The polarisation is an effect which i really like but obviously not to everyones taste. Will definitely be returning to this beautiful place to try some different shots.

Taken near Sossusvlei, Namibia. It was a full moon so used the bright light
that evening to create a surreal scene amongst the acai trees. Comments
and critiques more than welcome, thanx for viewing.

Taken in the Deadvlei, Namibia. Quite a surreal place, you feel like you on
another planet. Used a polariser to darken the sky a bit otherwise no filters
needed here. Thanx for viewing, comments welcome.

Thanx guys for the kind words. It was a memorable evening, such beautiful light in every direction, I didn't know where to point the dan camera first.

I think you are right Stephan, there is too much going. I was trying to capture the entire landscape as it was so beautiful. But as the file is extremely will try a cropped version and cut out the distracting elements. Appreciate your feedback. Thanx.

Thanx very much for the comments guys. Mike, you right on the money with the slower shutter speed. I did a version at f11 and iso 200 to freeze everything but liked the blur in the grass and tree more. It conveyed more how it was, plus I always like a bit motion in my photos.

We were driving down Namibia back to South Africa following this storm.
And as we got closer to sunset, we found this lone tree on the plains.
Thanx for viewing, comments more than welcome.

I woke up this morning with a message on my phone that my dog had died.
Bit of a bad day but was therapeutic to see the sun rise and say goodbye.
Thanx for viewing, comments welcome.

We drove back from shooting the dunes in Sossusvlei and waited for the
sun to set with the road running through towards the mountains and clouds.
Comments welcome, thanx for viewing. (larger is better)

This was some of the best light, I've ever seen. Used a wide angle lens
with an 8 image stitch to get all the landscape and cloud into the shot. A
polariser was used, not sure if this added to the surreal feeling of the
picture. Interested to know your thoughts. Thanx for viewing (larger is
better)

Taken in Namibia, using an IR filter. Need a long exposure to let in enough
light through the dark filter. These fantastic acai trees are very photogenic.
Thanx for viewing, comments welcome.

Taken in the Deadvlei, Sossusvlei Namibia. Such a surreal place, it is out
of this world. Thanx for viewing (larger is better).

We were chasing this storm all day, finally as we got closer to sunset and
the rain had stopped, the light and rainbow formed. Worth all the driving in
the end. Thanx for viewing (larger is better).

Thanx guys for the kind words. Chris, for some reason I didn't do a landscape shot of this scene, I have the tendency to run around like a headless chicken when the light is this good and don't plan my shots more. Something to work on. More posts to come, the light got even better later on.
Regards
Stuart
