  1. Thanks, it was just amazing and so incredibly red right up until the min. the sun poked through. The best part... I got to take these from the balcony of our room at the Sanctuary Retreat. So the coffee and tea were right there, to help me wake up to take the photo. Thanks again - Lex

Hi, I've missed this place, but I've had a lot of work (went through my PhD confirmation) and then went on vacation on and off for about a month. Thus I have a lot of photos lined up to share, it will be nice to have time to view everyone's photos again! Thanks for stopping by, - Lex

This is amazing. These creatures are so cool, and you've captured this one beautifully. I like the DOF you've used, and the colors just pop. Thanks for sharing - Lex

This is absolutely beautiful. I love the colors, and the detail in the barley. I think this might be one of my favorites on PN. Thanks for sharing - Lex

Great line with a definite focal point at the end. This is wonderfully captured and artfully done. Congrats on a Beautiful photo - Lex
  2. I agree that maybe a bit less yellow would make this image feel more real, but I like how it takes you to a different place. It reminds me of the beginning of the Wizard of Oz, everything is dry and dusty and falling down. It also reminds me of ideas of what the Earth would be like after an Apocalypse. Great image that definitely tells a story. Thanks for sharing - Lex

Thanks Mike, I guess I notice it in the faces, and I was probably looking for it more then the average observer since I knew it could be a problem. Thanks for the comment, and the confidence boost that it might be more in my head then in the image. Thanks again - Lex

This is much better then my latest attempt at underwater so congrats! I think the lighting works well here and I love the colors that you were able to create. Beautiful job in a very tough environment - Lex

Beautiful and serene. I would only suggest to either cut out the thing in the fore ground or to add more of it. I find it a bit distracting, but that might just be me. Beautiful colors, and wonderful focus on the wooden stumps. Thanks for sharing - Lex

This photo really plays on infinity. I'm just not sure where infinity is here. I really like this photo, yet it seems like something is missing and I think its that the line that the clouds are creating is different from that of the rocks and water so that I don't find anything to focus on. I hope this helps, I really love the rocks in the fore ground. You've done a great job capturing them. Thanks for sharing - Lex

I love this portrait, but I'm not crazy about the back ground color. It feels to me that it brings out too much red in her face. Personally I'd pick a more subdued color, but that's just me. Great photo though! - Lex

This day I forgot to check my iso so this was taken at 1600. Any suggestions as to

how to fix it up a bit? Thanks in advance - Lex
