George just changed mine to those settings no problem it saves them 1NEF and 1JPG have same firmware numbers

599 from B&H but back to the lens I have taken maybe 200 shots with it I turn auto focus off also shoot like around F5.6 I like it!

Using the camera pro2 trial for my D300 but it keeps saying cant find camera.Any

Ok that charger only draws 120volt in with0.25 amp output at 8.4v at 0.9a which is nothing You have a over load on that circuit in your house or a bad charger maybe battery also

It maybe your wall outlet,try a different outlet in the house.

Agree with Shun. I also still have a Nikon FE in my drawer,and when that happens it was always the battery.Make sure you have the batteries in right and that there is no old corrosion

Have you tried a different battery? If so you might want to try a reset on the camera,just remember you will lose settings
