1.
I could me mistaken, but I believe the photo shown is actually the 60th home run, hit the night before he hit his 61st. There is a similar picture of his sixty-first home run that is very similar, but clearly shows it hit during the afternoon.

 2.
They are alive and well, but their shop was flooded by Sandy. I dropped off a camera a couple of weeks ago and had it back in a week, but the phones and e-mail do not seem to be working very well. The had to move up to the second floor since the first floor of the building took on a few feet of water. Mr. Kim said they lost "many cameras."

 3.
I wanted to report excellent experience with Essex Camera Service in Carlstadt, NJ. Last week I dropped off a Leica 50mm rigid Summicron for service. The aperture ring was off and there was some haze and dust on the internal elements. I picked up the lens today and it looks and feels brand new. The charge was $80 plus tax.
I heartily recommend!

 4.
The graduated ND filter is used to overcome extremes in contrast, such as bright a bright sky with main subject in shadow. I use them when shooting in a city with tall buildings to even out the lighting, or with landscapes just before sundown for the same reason. They will not really have the effect you are looking for.
The filter rotates like a polarizing filter, so just look through the viewfinder and rotate until you get the effect you want.

 5.
Thanks, David. It is amazing, my children, ages 15, 28, 30, and 32 love the Beatles as much as I did. Driving into NYC on Sunday, this photo is displayed on a huge billboard over the entrance to the Lincoln Tunnel. My wife freaked out when she saw it!

 6.
I recently picked up a Nikon FE2 with a SB-15 flash. I know that the camera should automatically synch at 1/250 sec. in the Auto mode when the flash is turned on. However, the viewfinder needle does not indicate this shutter speed, instead showing the speed it would normally set without the flash. Is this functioning properly?
