Nice shot, I'd like to see some more variations of this. Perhaps a little closer, from the front, in a situation where it's cleaner and perhaps a bit more incongruous. There was a great opportunitty here for a GREAT shot. I don't quite see it here, but it's close. Thanks for sharing.

Here's an idea: Make a couple more layers in photo-shop and then sample the color on the frozen lake. Enlarge your airplane substantially and in the new layer apply this color over the highlights on your airplane and in the smoke. Then blend the color down so it looks more natural. Make another layer and do the same with the sky or make up a new evening color in your color pallette. Apply it with an airbrush over the entire sky and then very carefully under huge magnification erase the area over the airplane, then blend it down. Maybe you could even use the original 'frozen lake sky.' There are all sorts of possibilities. I like your composite quite a bit, I think you should take it another step further.
