You are quite correct with the lighthouse, I went to the Farnes in early July this year. The day was the best they have had for years 30 deg C, you can see the heat haze in the background. Really pleased with the series I took there. Thank you for the kind words, much appreciated.

These birds were taken on the Farne Islands which is on the upper east coast of England. The day was unusually sunny and warm for the Farnes so we had great light. You can see the heat haze in the air.

The farnes played host to 40,000 breeding pairs of puffins this year, the only problem that creates is which one do you photograph. They are leaving and coming back in large numbers. They fly really fast too.
