Hi Ian,

A nice perspective of this fine looking bird.

I question the use of F/8, as I am certain that your (undisclosed) 400 mm lens type has at least a F/5.6 f-stop setting.

Wildlife or any sort is graced by my using wide open apertures with excellent lens. Unless I had a compromised lens design (which I do not) , then I would stop down to correct some of the aberrations present. In that case , the results would be compromised anyways.
