I've called Dell Canada a second time, and the sales rep confirmed they are shipping Version A01 of the U2410.
I've therefore ordered one, taking advantage of their current unbeatable price.
Thanks to all who helped me make up my mind.

How can I be certain that Dell Canada are shipping the A01 version of the U2410?
I've called them and they haven't heard of A00 and A01 versions...

-

Thanks !
I'll be ordering one.

I think I'll go for the Dell U2410. From reviews I've read, it seems marginally better than the HP LP2475W but I'll have to wait for the newer A01 version of the U2410 to become available before ordering one, unless I find an even better (or as good but cheaper) 24" or 25.5" model meanwhile...

I'm not interested in used - or hot - equipment.

Picasa, by Google

I've determined that I will have to go for size AND quality, and I'm therefore prepared to stretch my budget accordingly.
I'm effectively quite tempted by the Dell U2410, but I'm waiting for version A01 to become available.

NEC's P221 is nice, but I'd really want to have 1920 x 1200 resolution, so I'm really looking for a 24 inch or 25.5 inch monitor.

Finally, I think I'll go for the Dell U2410 when it's debugged.
Thanks to all.

I've also found out that newer TN panels can show 16.7 million colors, while older panels couldn't.

For years, I've been using a Samsung 193P 19 inch screen that's given me full satisfaction.
After a lot of Googling, I've found it's a PVA panel.
Is this closer to TN or IPS in terms of quality?

-

IPS Panels are a little expensive.
I'm thinking of buying the el Cheapo Samsung 2443BW HAS and if I don't like it, I can sell it in 24 hours. Does anyone have this screen?

NEC's EA241WM-BK 1920 x 1200 24" Monitor has a somewhat reasonable price. Is it any good?

Is the HP w2558hc an IPS Monitor?

Thanks to all.
I'll look into the t240hd.
What is IPS?
Dell U2410 is a little expensive...

I'm looking for a reasonably priced (I'd say under $500) 24" monitor with 1920x1200 resolution for my new computer. Usage will include Photoshop CS4 and Lightroom. Any suggestions?
Thanks.

Thanks. I'll try.

Where can I find a Canon 5D Mark II file icon for Windows?
Thanks.

I had one that replaced an old EOS 10S, took a few thousand shots with it, really liked it, until... I bought my first EOS Digital. I really liked the eye controlled focus. Hey Canon, do you hear?
After getting the EOS 10D, I sold the 7E after 6 months of non-use. I've recently found a brand new Elan 7N that I've purchased for under $100 with no intention of using it. Have fun.

Sold my 24-70/2.8L after getting the 24-105/4L IS for my 5D.

Keeping it for the 5D Mark II, but I think the 24-70/2.8L has better resolution.

I loved my 24-70/2.8L but with the 5D, I prefer having a lens that can go to 105mm, even though I've lost one stop. The 24-70 was fine on my 20D though, because of the 1.6X factor.

I had a 24-70/2.8L and sold it from non-use after getting the 24-105/4L IS for my 5D, but YMMV...
