Hey Patryk, it is very nice meeting you today at El Dorado Park, due to some busy schedule I never got to read your reply (written in Feb 20), but again I'm very glad to meet you at El Dorado Park. I hope you have a great time here in Southern California and of course a lot of great images to take home to NY. If you have time you can check out other popular spots beside El Dorado and Bolsa Chica that the Sol Cal photographers love to hang out.

 

- San Joaquin Wildlife Sanctuary in Irvine

- Newport Backbay in Newport Beach

- Huntington Central Park in Huntington Beach is a good place to photograph humming birds but it's kinda early for that. The area is an enclosure with fence behind the library.

 

BTW if you like shooting shore birds at low angle walk to the back of Bolsa Chica, there's an area that you can get really low.

I like the action you have here, with the plash and the position of the bird, the elements really potrait how intense the momment is. As always I like your images' background and low angle.

I like it how you capture the momment, with the osprey neck turning and about to rip a piece of fish out. Very nice details and exposure on the bird. I think the sky is too blue though.

Very nice shot, I like the symetry of the two birds, and of course the plash behind really adds a sense of action, when viewed in large format I see both birds are in focus, excellent job of controlling the dof here.

Very nice, I like the pose of the bird, the sharpness of the piicture and the good background that helps isolate the subject. However I do find the out-of-focus tweaks in the forground a little distracting.
