Very nice pose, love the fanning tail. When I lived in Vietnam I owned 3 of these beautiful birds, they are known for their long and high pitch songs. They are quite easy to keep as they are very fond of banana.

Sharpness, colors and bg are all good, but needs major leveling, I mean EPIC leveling! :)

Well execute shot, everything falls into place and you have all the element to make this image a spectacular one! Love it!

This heron dove into the water from the air to spear this trout. Normally

these birds wade and stalk their preys, they don't attack from the air

like eagles and ospreys. This is the first time I witnessed something like

this. Ironically this wasn't an actual hunting attempt, this blue heron was

actually chased by another heron and as he was flying across the lake,

he spotted the fish and took advantage of the opportunity.

Cormorant With Rainbow Trout

I've been after this moment for over 2.5 years. Most of the time the

action happened too fast and too far away. Today with the combination

of a short distant, good light, good presentation of both bird and prey I

was able to make this image. As with any wildlife photograph, more or

less, luck is always involved, and today for some reason this guy

decided to play with his food for a good 3 minutes, and that is an

eternity.
