<p>You need to bring your aperture to more than f/11, maybe f/22. The old rule of thumb is you set your focus 1/3 of the way into the scene.</p>

Thanks to all for the replies. I'm surprised by the split decision we've come to. In the end I let the gallery owner make the decison. She wanted them signed. Bill Tate I think gave the best general answer but all are appreciated and taken into consideration.

Thanks for all the input & follow up. I've been signing the mat on matted photos but not the print itself. I've got a number of unmatted but framed going into this gallery, that's why I had asked.
