1. Hello,

I have an old DURST CM 50 color analyzer. I never used it.

But today I have try to know how to use it. It hasn't user manual. I Insert four LR44 batteries, and it seems to run. I think this CM 50 can hel to to find the exposure time when I enlarge copies.

I try to find the user manual in google, but I don't find it.

Could somebody help me to get this user manual?

    Thank you very much.

  2. Hello,

I think that problem is fixed.

I Removed the focus screen from the camera to know the right model. It's a G2 screen. This table - pag 24 (https://www.cameramanuals.org/nikon_pdf/nikon_f2_finder_dp-1.pdf) says that with G" screen, 50 mm f/1.4 needs a +1/2 correction, and 135 mm f/3.5 needs a -1 correction.

So I adjusted trim screw of my DP-1 using 35 mm according my sekonic meter.

Now, when I shot 135 mm (-1 stops adjusting) it's fine.

    Thank you very much everybody!!

  3. Hello,

    really , it's very strange.

I afraid that 135 mm is the problem.

For instance, I mount 50 mm, meter with DP-1 and Sekonic. Same speed and f DP-1 and Sekonic (for example: 250 f/5.6)

I change to 28 mmm. Same speed and f

    I mount 135 mm, and I need 2 or 3 more stops

I've checked 135 mm, and I can't see any problem. It indexes when mounting.

    Thank you

  4. What screen are you using? Some of the rare screens gave different readings for different focal length lenses. BUT- not this dramatic of a difference.

    I think it's a Type J

The readings could be explained of the Indexing Mechanism is not working properly, is somehow jammed.

Does the meter give the correct exposure for the 50mm lens? What is the max aperture of the 50? The DP-1 could handle an F1.2 lens. How far did you have to adjust the trim screws?

Yes. The metering is right for 50 mm. It's a F/1.4

    Thank you

  5. What's the aperture of your 135mm lens? F/3.5 or smaller maybe?

F2 meters measure off the screen, so once a split-image distraction rangefinder blacks out, all bets are off.

    My 135 is F/3.5

    Bad move!

The main cause of error or erratic reading is the resistor ring, which gets dirty. The trimmers shouldn't need to be touched after factory adjustment.

    :-(

I followed the Glen Walpert tutorial about DP-1 adjust.

    The damaged is done

    thanks anyway

  6. Hello everybody,

first at all, congratulations for this forum.

    I've a F2 with DP-1, with three lenses (50 mm, 28 mm and 135 mm).

The problem is the measurement of DP-1. If I have a right read with 50 mm, there are a 2 or 3 stops of difference with the 135 mm. Same light, same conditions.

I've adjusted the DP-1 with trim screws and my Sekonic, changet batteries, but it remain the same.

Please, do you have any idea about the reason?

    Thank you very much

  7.
Hello all,

I'm the happy owner of a BRONICA ETRSI, but now I've the chance to buy a SQ-A.
Could somebody tell me if the objetives of ETRSI can be used on SQ-A?

thanks a lot!!
8.
Hi,

Matt: I think that you got it right!.

That's exactly what has happened. I see the program and shutter speed on the left corner of upper display, and nothing at all on the other one.

I'm gonna clean the contacts of the viewer and objetive mount, and let you know what happen.

thank you everybody

  9.
Dear all,

at the first, Happy new year!

I've just begin this year, and find the first error in my F4:

I've a F4+MB21 a long time ago. It's my favorite cam, and I hope use it for a long time.

Yesterday i was using it and I got no meter readings on the lower LCD, but the exposure values (The letter "p" + shutter speed) appeared on the upper LCD where the frames counter usually is. This is a random behavior, and it is the first time I notice it. Apparently the camera works fine.
Do you know the reason of this error?

I'll be grateful if any of you could give me information about this error

Best regards

Fernando

  10.
Hi, Paul.
Thanks a lot four your explanation!
I've used a very (very very) old flash as slave unit. It have just an ON/OFF switch, and the test button. It was connected to a remote flash trigger (optical). I use it with a piece of kitchen paper (a homemade diffusor), attached with a elastic band to the head of unit. (dont' laught. It's true). It gives a very nice soft light in portratits.
I thought that with this "new flash" (the Cobra) I could control exposure using the unit in auto mode.
I'll read the user manual of SB-28, to learn more about auto exposure.

Thanks a lot, Paul.

Best regards.

  11.
Hello, and merry christmas.
I've found an old Cobra 210 AUTO flash unit. It'was from my father, and it hasn't user manual. The unit is like t his:

It has a three positions switch on the front side: MANUAL, red and blue positions. I know that in manual position I must set speed and f-stop in my camera, but ¿what about rest of positions? I think that this s witch is for f-stop settings: Blue--> f 5.6 Red--> f 4 but I am not sure. I unormally use a SB-28 with my F-4, and I want to use this old flash as slave, with an optical cell.
Thanks a lot

  13.
Frank, Michael, Eric...thanks a lot.
I'll need to do test to adjust intensity of both flashes.
But my concern was if pre-flashes of SB-28 will fire the slave flash. In accordance with your views, I must to disable 3D-multisensor so that this does not happen.
I'll post my prints to get your opinions.
Thanks a lot.

  14.
Hi,

Thanks a lot.
I've also a F-80 (Goup I), so I'll have the problem on pre-flashes.
The reason for my question is as follows: When SB-28 fires pre-flashes, the slave unit cell will detect this pre-flashes, and will fire the slave flash. I've read that only way to fix this problem is to disable pre-flashes. So..¿It's enought to disable 3D-multisensor mode, and work in TTL mode?

I'm very grateful for your help.

Thanks a lot

  15.
Hi,
I have a F-4 with a SB-28. I've just gotten an hot shoe optical flash slave (Kaiser) that I want to use with an old flash unit.
I've read that to use the SB-28 (attched at camera) as "master" and the old one (attached at the slave unit) as slave, pre-flashes of SB-28 must be turn-off.
Do you know how I must disable pre-flash? Setting SB-28 in TTL mode (no 3D-multisensor mode)?
Thanks a lot

  16.
Hi, Larry,
I do 60 sec. for the first minute, and four inversions fo every minute after.
I will try 15 your combination. (800).
Have you try with EI 400?
As i wrote in my first post, I found the combination HP5+ rated 200 ISO / HC-110 1+63 / 13 minutes at 20 º C in a forum. It was posted by Enrique Ortega, a spanish photographer.
You can see his picture in his web (http://mentiraspiadosas.wordpress.com/2009/05/28/en-un-paisaje/). It's the second one pic. It'was make with a yellow filter.

Thanks a lot

  17.
Hi,
I was looking for times in Digitaltruth, but only gives times for EI 100 and 3200
I only test dilution H at EI 200. I think less time will result low contrast negative. I've a LPL 7700MX enlarger, color and diffuser.
Do you try dilution H at EI 400/800? What time?
Thanks a lot.
18.
Hi,
Last week, I developed a HP5+ roll as follows:
HP+ rated 200 ISO / HC-110 1+63 / 13 minutes at 20 º C.
(I read this setting in a forum.)
Negative and prints are very nice. As soon as I will repair my scanner, will post the prints. I like this dilution, but I don't know time for the same dilution but differents ISO (in HP5+).
Could someone help me on this? Any suggestions are welcome.
Thank a lot.
Fernando

  19.
Hola, John,
Muchas gracias por tu respuesta en español!! es maravilloso encontrar a alguien con una lengua en común. Mi español es mucho mejor que mi ingles.
Hi, John,
Thanks a lot for your response in spanish!! Is wonderful to find somebody with a languaje in common. My spanish is better than my english
You're right. There is a big difference between Telephoto and close-up lens. I hope to be lucky with my new lens. Finally, I've bought it.
What film are you using with your Rolleinar?
I use HP+
Thanks a lot

  20.
Hi, John,
The dealer site says:
For Yashica TLR, Rolleiflex & Rolleicord Bayonet I cameras (Same as B-30). Includes two lenses, one for viewing and one for taking. Parallax corrected.
My camera has taking lens and viewing lens, too. I think you are talking about this feature. ¿is it right?
Thanks a lot
(sorry by the bold. I don't know what I've done).

  21.
Hi,
I've looked for telephoto attachements for weeks, in CE, but I haven't found it. Just in USA, and the seller doesn't ship to Europe
I have already decided. I'm going to buy a close-up lens set #1. I hope to be lucky and not to waste my money.
When I use my Yashica, I measure light with an old Gossen exposimeter. Do you know if I must to do corrections when I will use the close-up lens?.
Thanks a lot.
Fernando
