    Knives Out

Love seascapes and this is excellent. I see you used a 0.9nd grad but for some reason you have had to blend together for correct exposure. Couldn't filters used in taking shot have been enough? Cracking image and that crop suggestion is not a patch on the original, cant understand why someone would want to even attempt that on an image with already perfect composition. Would love to know where abouts in South Devon this was taken as i live in Plymouth, cheers
  1. Im going to try and give you some helpful constructive comments. First of all the framing hence composition needs some attention. Need to ask what are you trying to show here. Eg this could be anywhere. Need some focal point, possibly show something unique to that area in the foreground with the type of street in the background. Need to look at the corners of the frame eg the top right and left does not add any interest. Next the chosen dof could be better. Not everything is in focus which is whats needed for this type of shot. Choose a smaller aperture and tripod your camera. The lighting needs to be good to add detail so timing, light then composition is the key. Hope that brief explanation helps.

Cheers both. Im not sure which blur you mean exactly? I was very please the full length of both came out in focus but dissapointed with the bright area which i think is a distraction. Will try again. Thanks.
