  1. This photo was taken a few feet away from "Bonzai Rock," a famous

boulder with a few small trees coming out of it a ways into the lake,

and located on the East coast of Lake Tahoe. This night there were

about 15 photographers all lined up next to eachother to shoot

Bonzai Rock, so I decided to go to an area about 50 feet away

where no one was. So, I missed the bonzai trees. But, this is one of

the best sunsets I have ever seen -- it lasted about 45 minutes, and

there was a lightening storm in the background!

Bill/Drew/Gail -- Thank you guys for the kind comments!  These can be tough to edit, have to clone out the boom attaching the camera to the car.  So good to hear you like the result!

Unfortunately I could not crop out an enterprising fellow photographer

from this shot. Does it detract from the photo? Add any interest?

It is ghosted from long/multiple exposures. Thank you.

A 3 hour drive along an unpaved/unimproved road through the desert,

and arrived just in time for the sunset at Toroweap Overlook. Hope

    you enjoy!

    Thanks all for the feedback!

-- Ryan W: Good point on the front red rock.  I went back and edited as you suggested, I think you are right it looks alot less distracting.

    Thanks again!
