I like the moodiness. I'd be interested in knowing how you achieved such apparently high depth of field at f11, especially with a 67 camera. The foreground grass looks a bit blurry, which could be due to wind induced movement or perhaps due to the focus point being in the middle of the picture. Either way, this is the type of subtle and understated photo that I enjoy seeing.

Look at that detail and soft tonal gradations. It is very close to resembling film.

This picture is great. I had picked a spot similar to this one. though the speed limit is 65mph, not 35mph. Everytime I drive by I think about stopping to snap a picture. We live in the same region and I can bet you can guess which tunnel I'm referring to. The overhanging leaves really add to the mood. Nice work!

This photo exemplifies everything I love about photography. The fusion of a beautiful scene, composed artfully and timed perfectly, with an exposure and shutterspeed that are spot-on. The light on the waves and rocks blows me away. I see tonal gradations and realistic effects here that I doubt digital is as adept at capturing. It would be interesting to hear the photographer's opinion.
No critique here. (Note: had previously saw something that looked like posterization, but I believe it was due to monitor settings).

Splendid shot. The soft light, white water and composition, the lighting, the outcropping... everything comes together in a balanced way to make this an eye catcher. The moon, while extremely small, is not insignifant for me. Its placement melds together very well with the rest of the composition and for me is like the icing on a cake prepared by a master chef. My only critique is with respect to the vignetting. In general, however, I could look at this photo for hours.

First of all, this is a gorgeous photo. The quality of light on the mountains and clouds, and the calmness of the water, is dramatic. One thing that immediately catches my eye, however, is that the intensity of the reflection appears as bright as its source. I have not noticed such a phenomenon in photos or in nature previously.

The composition is not that interesting to me. I like the sharpness and detail, but also agree that lighting is not optimal.

Is this a painting? What am I missing here?

I really like the colors and mood in this photo. One question....why do most of the shots on this site resemble paintings more than photos? Not a critique per se, just doesn't look natural.

Beautiful shot. Belongs on the wall, no doubt. What shutter speed was this taken with?

Beautiful dynamic range...my eye wanders from the grass to the horizon and also from the sky to the horizon. This is not just another sunset photo in my point of view. And the horizon being in the middle...normally it reduces the quality of the photo, but for me, this one is better with the horizon placed there. I'm speaking just in terms of how I view it asthetically.

Very nice. I like the color combination in this one, from the beige-brown grasses to the white mountains and deep blue sky. Did your gnd extend below the tops of the mountains or where did you place the transition?
