1.
Peter,

Let me clarify why I prefer to have that last line copied and edited, preferably under the original. By doing so I have the choice during the booting whenever I'm gonna work with PS CS3 or do some other tasks during those 30 seconds (default setting on the second line from top, "timeout=30"). Because I mostly work on resized files for web usage I mostly select the normal "Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" in order that CS3 would not reserve most of the available RAM and the other Windows applications wouldn't have enough RAM to operate in cases I would do something else than just photo editing. I have got this impression that not many Windows applications are programmed to utilize the extended RAM done by this "/3GB" option.

My first version of this dual boot file had the line with /3GB above the original, but then I had to act with the down arrow key if I wanted normal mode of XP to start. To clarify: the top line will be highlighted and automatically selected after 30 seconds without user input, and the text within the "..."s is the text what you'll read on the boot screen, seen on this attached screen shot of my PC.
There is another online article, that helped me to add the /3GB switch on my XP Home PC, found here:
http://www.keptlight.com/index.php/2008/08/extra-memory-for-my-desktop/#more-178
To keep this issue simple you just edit the boot.ini with notepad by copying the line:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect
and edit it to be as following:
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition 3GB Switch" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect /3GB
After doing this I made some speedtest and posted the results here:
Worth reading, IMHO.

 3.
Josh,
I did log out and in again. This didn't fix this issue. I was earlier about to answer Daniel that according my observations there has been done a change on community memeber page: until recently it was possible to see the list of older forum postings with dates and titles as links. Now this listing has been replaced with new headline "Forum Postings Older than 30 Days" with a number of totals as link. So this removal of titles on workspace page is part of this new design. As said I have seen this to happen first today, 30 days after those numerous postings to No Words forum.

 4.
As I entered my My Workspace page today I noticed the empty list of my forum posts, only dates without texts(links) anymore. Because my memory isn't very good I thought the system is messing data.

EDIT: You see, I couldn't remember my numerous No Words postings

My Workspace page looked like this:

Then I checked the Full Forum History page:

and thereafter also checked my community member page:

First after I clicked The totals of my Forum Postings on my community member page I got the listing what I was missing on my Workspace page:

I'm aware that you have set a 30 days time frame for Forum Posts, and it's OK but then I would prefer to have the list of empty dates removed from my Workspace page, maybe replaced with a text link to the history page. In my opinion it's not ideal to have to visit oneself's own community member page in order to see the past forum postings (in case I have to refresh my memory). This because the full forum history page only displays the topics that are started by me, whenever critique requests or discussion topics, not the complete list that is directly accessible to other members.

I wonder if this way of listing of forum posts is a temporary bug or meant to be like this?

 5.
You wrote you want to experiment with long exposures in daylight. In case you won't get the desired/required exposure times with these filters then you need serious ND filters, like ND64, ND400 or ND1000, which I have and use. These are made by serious companies like Hoya, Heliopan and B+W, and hardly "affordable" (whatever that means).
For my personal use I made following charts to have inside the filter cases for quick reference which filter to select when exposure time w/o filter is "X" and should be "Z" (on left column w/o filter, on right with ND). Feel free to print them for later reference:
ND64: http://img523.imageshack.us/img523/5619/nd64lutaw1.gif
ND400: http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/8916/nd400lutfz2.gif
ND1000: http://img523.imageshack.us/img523/5107/nd1000lutsj4.gif
Allthough high quality filters as such these all do cause magenta cast, seen on this comparison I made: http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/2048/ndfiltersab1.jpg
Some color correction is thus required.
