  1. Hi Grayham! Nice, soft, sided light and interesting activity! The lower right part of your frame though seems a bit distractive. It occupies too much space and prevents the viewer's eye to focus on the elephants playing in the water. Regards from Greece, Teo!

Hi Les! Bird photography can be very impressive even when the subject does...nothing! In your case, a different angle of view (for example by placing a wide angle lens to the water surface) might boost your image dramatically. Action images (like flying or feeding) are always welcomed but are not obligatory for great bird photography. I have rated your image with a "5" because of nice light and sharpness! Keep up shooting wildlife, regards from Greece

  2. A cheetah family with tiny cubs is always a photographer's dream and a

sight never to be forgotten! These creatures are so beautiful and elegant but

life is unfortunately very hard for them! Even when they hunt successfuly,

they lose their prey to bigger, stronger predators like lions, leopards and

hyenas who frequently wait patiently to steal their hard earned meal!!!!

    Thank you for your comments!

  3. I had only a few seconds to take this shot before the sun vanished.

Focusing correctly and having the right exposure was very "painful". The

sun's glare inside my viewfinder was the reason I couldn't even see and

compose....I felt as if I had a huge flashlight straight to my eyes! Photo

taken in Serengeti N.P. (Tanzania). Thank you for your comments!

Hello Rita! Your shot is dynamic and interesting showing movement and action! I have though two comments regarding some technical issues. Since the bear doesn't fill your entire frame and you chose to display the environment as well....it would be better not to place the bear in the center of the frame but slightly to the left (rule of thirds). Another issue is your angle of view. The image is not eye-leveled which creates a sense of unbalance. Imagine the same image with the lens placed on the ground, creating a face- to face situation with the viewer...certainly much more appealing! Keep up the good work....regards from Greece!

Crop the lower part of the image (just a bit) and you instantly have a more balanced shot (as it is right now the horizon splits the picture in half...which is not ideal),  full of color tone variety (warm foreground, cool background). A polarizing filter would also boost the image making it more dramatic. Nice composition Deyan, well done, regards from Greece

A real treat to the eye! The contrast between the black background and the water is superb. Excellent low shutterspeed technique. Regards from Greece!

Hi Jed....your framing is a bit tight since the legs of the deer and it's back in the upper part are too close to the edge of the frame creating a sense of unbalance. Other than that try to boost a bit the contrast....Regards, Teo
