I cropped this picture out of a much larger TIF file generated from a
RAW file. I was also close to the limit of my 10X optical zoom, as
well. I'd like to be able to enlarge this up to the largest size I
can and I'm worried about losing too much detail (more than I've
already lost). Is there any advice on sharpening you could give,
given that there's so many ways to enhance sharpness in Photoshop? (I
have Elements 5.0).
Any other thoughts on aesthetics?

Any thoughts about this frame-filling color?

I took quite a few shots of this scene and this one seemed to be the
best. Any thoughts?
Thanks

I'm finally starting to learn all the manual functions of my camera.
However, it's still a difficult task to freeze the water without over-
exposing the white highlights. Also, a polarizing filter seems to be
somewhat useless, as the camera re-adjusts in most auto-modes.
Is totally manual operation of my camera a necessity in these
situations?

I waited for the last possible moment, as the sun was going down, to
take this shot from the Mount Watkins area. I had hoped for a little
more gold color from the "golden hour".

Please critique. Conditions were great but my composition might be off

You never know what you might run across, so carry your camera as
often as you can. I found this scene while searching for rare
goshawks.
Thanks for looking!

All the other rocks all had soil and plants growing on top. Luckily,
I found this one and had my camera handy

I really would like to bring out the color of the Indain Paintbrushes.
Maybe I'll trying focusing a scan on a smaller area next time.

Any cropping preferences would be appreciated.
Thanks

My scanning skills ARE getting better. Is there anything you could
see that I could do better?
I'm using a Nikon Coolscan V ED.
Thanks

I'm still trying to refine my scanning skills. How am I doing?
Thanks!

Everything was good about this photo except for a jet's contrail I
tried to edit through cropping and then use of the clone tool
Please critique
Thanks

Great picture and good job dealing with the sun. The green grass is very natural looking.
A very spiritual kind of shot.

Desolation Wilderness, in California, sure lives up to its name in
this scanned Kodachrome slide. This one seems to have scanned
properly, capturing the the vividness better than in some of my other
scans with my new Nikon filn scanner. This photo is fresh from the
scanner with no manipulation other than resizing.

Does anyone else like this flowing water effect? My Fuji both
freezes the action but makes it look like a slow shutter speed.
Also, would this work as a "Fine Art" photo?
Thanks

Took this one while my work vehicle was broken down in Montana.
I like it but, what do you think?
Thanks

Please critique this Yosemite photo. It's a companion to the other
El Capitan picture in my portfolio.
Thanks!

Some people prefer this picture upsidedown.....LOL
What do you think?

In learning more how to scan on my Nikon Coolscan V ED, I'm still
getting inconsistent results. Sometimes I get lucky and a scan
remains true to color to the original Kodachrome. Usually, photos
with "evening light" have colors that don't come through easily in
the scan. Any hints from veteran scanners? Which color space might be
the best choice for the above situation? Any help would be much
appreciated. Thanks
