1.
John,
The eyepiece stays where it and the diopter screws into the eyepiece.
You can get them from Leica or aftermarket. Last I checked, Leica had their's at $72, but that was awhile ago
I have a spare +2 if that is what you are looking for. It's an aftermarket. You can email if interested.

  2.
The eyepiece thread is the same, so it will work. Screws in just like a Diopter. I used one on my M5 when I had it. The only issue will be seeing the full viewfinder, but the meter is on the bottom, so you can shift your eye down and as I remember, the 35mm frame-lines will be to the edge of what you can see.
You can focus with both eyes open and I rather liked it, especially with the 50 & 90.

"Beautiful boat Randy. Could you start a new thread with more pictures of it?"

I have followed the progress for the last couple of years.
I'll look through my Negitives and M8 Files and see what I can come up with and post them on Flickr and provide a link for viewing.

  4.
The following 2 Images are of the Boat "Irene" It was an abandoned boat in the Harbor @ Pillar Point, Half Moon Bay, California. Through Donations and Free labor, it was restored to what you see now. It still has some finish work to be done, but she's a beauty
Shot with an M8 and 28mm CV Ultron
