1.
I have the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM hich I believe is within your budget and is a very nice lens (for your budget). I have it and I shoot alot of birds and it does me good. Take a look at some of my ird shots within my profile. Most of those pictures were taken with the 70-300MM. Please note these were mostly taken at bird shoots.
2.
I am currently looking for a diffuser and came across a link someone added to another one of my post that compared and rated diffrent diffusers. I was especially intrested in the Spectralight Diffuser. Does anyone have any expierence with this diffuser and more importantly does anyone know where I can purchase this. I cannot find it anywhere.
Please help!
Thanks,

 3.
OK, My 2 Cents. I have both a rebel XT and a Canon 20D. I have an aftermarket grip on the rebel XT (Which I have had for four years) and I have a Canon grip on the 20D. I have to say that they are both equally made and of the same quality. I use both cameras quite often and both cameras have similar wear and tear and both grips have held up very well with no damage/wear. With that being said, I would probally buy an aftermarket grip in the future if I needed to. I am a firm believer that if you spend $2500.00 on a camera body then you should just spend the extra $ for the "Canon" grip but since I was on a very tight budget a few years back I was forced to go with the aftermarket item and that expierence has shown me that there are good quality aftermarket items out there. One very important note that I must add is that like someone posted earlier in this post with the Amazon link that "Customer Reviews" were very impoortant for me in my choice when I went with the aftermarket item.
Good luck!
4.
OK, THis stuff happens to the best of us. Like someone said in an earlier post, make sure you take out all batterie first. I would dry camera as best as you can without doing anything obviously wrong to the camera (Like wiping the sensor...LOL) Then I would place the camera somewhere where it is very dry. I have a table pretty close to a dry heat radiator. I would place near that if it were my camera. I think the important thing here is that you be patient and wait as long a s you can (Like a week) before putting the baterries back in and trying. One time my wife accidently washed my cell phone in the washing maching (Complete cycle) and I did similar procedures to save it and to this day (Two years later) the phone still works perfectly. I was told by someone in the phone store that the batteries must have been dead because water does more damage when the batteries are working (Like in your case).
Anyway, I hope this helps and I hope this time next week your using your camera and it is in perfect working order.
Good Luck!
5.
Hello,
I am an ametuer photographer and I enjoy photography very much. I have listed all of the equipment I own minus the smaller things like remotes, Memory cards, brackets etc. etc. I especially enjoy Nature and macro photography. Some of this equipment I have accumulated over the last few years either by getting a lens from another camera or I have purchased it to add to my collection.
So, anyway the question is what would you sell, trade, keep or upgrade based on my description above. I can tell you I love the 10-22 which is my newest lens and will definately be keeping that along with the 100MM.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
6.
Hello,
I am looking for a diffuser that I can use with the 430EX. I have read several post where the user says the Gary Fong Lightsphere does not stay on the 430EX good. Does anyone have any expierence with this product? Is this a good product or could someone reccomend another product similar that works/fits better than the Gary Fong? I like the idea of being able to add amber cloud to warm fill flashes outdoors as well.
Thanks,

 7.
Hello,
I have read numerous post on the internet and on Photo.net referring to the "Canon Loyalty Program" I currently have a Rebel XT and a Canon 20D and I know my 20D will be going sooner or later as it is at approx 80,000 shutter count. Is there any websites or does anyone have a solid information on how this program works and what is the trade in value for my cameras if I did take advantage of the loyalty program. How strict is the loyalty programs policy? Does the camera have to be broken? I am a Canon guy and will always shoot Canon and would love to upgrade my camera and don't mind if it is a refurbished as they are normally just as good as new minus the warranty (I think 90 Day is what you get?) I guess my last question is has anybody taken advantage of this program in recent months or is this hit or miss? I found some old postings (From 2006) that said they would give $50.00 for a trade in?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
8.
The best way to run 4 eos censors together is t0 bypass the flux capacitor after reversing the resistors and then Connect the strata-dataification directly to the censor wire lead thus tethering the signal as you are trying to accomplish. OK so I don't know what I am talking about either. Wish I understood your question but then again I probally would have spent all my time in school learning all of that technical stuff and would have not spent any time taking pictures. LOL (That means laugh out loud just in case you don't know what that means) Anyway, good luck getting your answer. Maybe if you post it in enough places somebody will be able to help you out.
Thanks,
David

 9.
Love my 10-22MM but not under $500.00. I was in the same predicament 6 months ago and I just ended up waiting until I got enough money to buy the Canon 10-22. I know there are others out there but the canon was reviewd very well and I am glad i held out for it.
Good Luck!
10.
I looked around on the internet and wanted to see if there were any internet replays of his show but no luck... I also tried Hulu.com but no luck. I use to watch the show religiosly a year ago and tivo'd it but have not seen it in a while and I live in Long Island New york. If anyone finds it on the internet please post. Thanks!
11.
If you could only see how careful I am while changing lenses and taking off the lens from the body and all that you would be shocked to see that I still accumulated dust. I have a rebel XT that I have ha for 5 plus years and it doesn'thave a spec of dust? My canon 20D which I purchased used came with free dust and it just gt worse over the last year. I honestly think theblower actually made it worse. Yes the blower moved some of the big stuff butit also moved alot of little specs around and not off the sensor. I am trying to get y 20D's sensor cleaned right now and have posted a question and got a lot of responses. I can't wait to upgrade and have a sensor with a self cleaning feature. I'm jealous!
Anyway, I am sure the dust that mysteriously dissapears ends up on my sensor some how.LOL
Thanks,
David Israel

 12.
I honestly have to say THANK YOU to everyone that responded to this question. I really appreciate all of the detailed responses and advice. I am definately going to get that annoying dust off the sensor and I have lots a ways to go about getting it done. I will post what works for me and I know there may always be a spec or two of dust but if you had seen my senssor and the amont of post photoshop work it created you would understand my frustration too.
Thanks,

David Israel

 13.
I would follow Ed K's advice. I am sure even being a month or two out of warranty they will still repair. If not then take Puppyface's advice and go with the Canon loyalty plan. I am going to do that myself soon to upgrade as I am having trouble wih my current camera.
Good luck!
David

 14.
Thanks everyone. The Copperhill Method may be the route to try. I watched a tutorial video about it and it seems like it would work well as long as it's done carefully and correctly. I will update when I complete the process. Thanks,
