Hello Peter,
Yes I realize that but sometimes fresh responses to this question may yield updated responses now that people have been using the 7D for a while...

Thanks,

Ok... I am sure this has been asked a 1000 times before, but I have not been on for a while and I am seriously looking to buy a new lens for my new Canon 7D. I am looking for the "Best" walk around lens. I am not concerned with the cost as I am looking to get something that will stay with me for a while. Anyway I currently own the following lenses and I am willing to sell some to make room in my bag for the new one. I enjoy all type of photography... from Macro to landscape and everything in between.. I would really appreciate any advice.
Lenses Currently Owned:
1. Canon 50MM 1.8 ($100.00 One)
2. Canon 70-300MM 4-5.6 IS USM
3. Canon 100MM 2.8 Macro (Love this one)
4. Canon 10-22MM 3.5-4.5 (Love this one)
5. Canon 28-105MM 3.5-4.5 (Weak walk around)
6. Canon 28-80MM 3.5-5.6 (Kit lens from my first Canon film camera)
7. Tamron 19-35MM 3.5-4.5

Thanks,

I was wondering what is the sharpest lens out there under $600.00? I know what is sharp in the "L" series/high end stuff. Just want to know what people out there think and what is everyone's opinion?
Thanks!

Intresting. This is just what I am looking for. I think I will give it a try for the Bower cheapo flash. I will then repost when I have questions about the Umbrella adapter. LOL
Thanks for the help!

Hello,
I need a little help here. I currently own a Canon 430EX flash. I have been doing some reading on some lighting techniques and would love to incorporate an additional flash during a shoot. I know that people can shoot with one flash on top of the camera and then an additional flash on let's say a tripod off to the side. I am aware that you have to have a "Master" and then a "Slave" but I am not to clear on how that all works. I also own and additional flash (a cheapie) Bower brand and would love to be able to use that flash along with my 430EX. Is there any (INEXPENSIVE) way of doing that? Do I need to buy a new flash or some sort of transmitter. Any help or links to help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
David Israel

I like mine too much and like someone else said in the post the resale value is low and you would probaly be better off keeping it. I know I would probaly buy this lens new if I didn't own one already since it is so inexpensive.

I have the 10-22MM and it is wonderful as far as the Sigma 10MM I can't comment as I never used it but the flexaability of the 10-22MM would be the deciding fasctor for me. I think the previous poster is right by saying it's a fisheye. I am sure there will be some more and informative replies to this in the next few hours.
Good luck with your move and great photo ops!

James you did well. Since you haven't done ths before a copy of the magazine would be an excellent addition to your portfolio too.
On another note. I can't imagine the devastation that you witnessed. I think it is a great thing that you are donating the money to the orphanage. It sure looks like any little bit of $ could help right now!
Thanks,

Just go on Youtube and search "Plane landing in st. marteen" and you will see multiple (Diffrent) videos of planes landing in St. Marten. Some appear to be 6 feet above the fence.
Enjoy!

Hello Amy,

I do use the lens hood.
I realize there are faster lenses out there but for the budget this is a great lens. I would love an tele photo "L" lens but just don't have the budget for it now but I will say my 70-300MM does a wonderful jib for me.
Good Luck!

Congrats on your upcoming addition to your family.

I guess I would go with the 7D so I would still be able to use the 10-22MM which is one of my favorite lenses.
I still shoot with the 20D as a new camera is not in the budget yet.
Good Luck!

It appears to be real as I just watched about 5 diffrent videos on Youtube showing 747's landing and taking off. My wife was there on the beach and saw this too. Pretty insane that they let people sun bathe there. Must be short on Beach space LOL.
