  1. I went to the safari in Pattaya for a full day photographic trip which was one hour away driving, at night I was preparing my

equipment which I was going to take with me all in a National back bag, some of the things I thought I might never need

there are the ND, Polarizing and Coking P series filters which I left behind and instead I taken the 15 and 8MM lenses

which I never used there, this is of course to cut down on the weight I am going to carry behind my back.

But after reaching there I found a lot of interesting landscape which I could have photographed in a better situations having

the polarizing filter, specially to deepen the blue colors of the sky and I have came across this water fall which for sure

    needed the ND filters.

Would those filters given me better effect with my landscape photography and things like water fall?

Thank you all and wishing you all of the best<div>00Qna6-70297684.jpg.dd41b28e4281340acb119fa464e0cc99.jpg</div>

  2. My problem is in my English, I came to know from a friend that the 5d iso can go down to less than 100 which is on low, I never would find that in the operating manual.

below 100 is some real good when high defination is needed specially with land scape which is always a possibility to photograph when on holiday abroad.

I then tried to locate if this possibility is also on my Nikon d2x.

My friend Lex, I used the canon F1n and the Nikon F3hp both and found the F1n alway been very raged and take all sort of punishment while the F3 never been less in quality, father trained me on these cameras,we still keep the at home:

I will try the D2X down here in my country to see its result before I take it with me to Thailand next Dec.

Every one been so kind with his opinion here and I do approciate all of this.

    Thank you all

  3. Dear Luis, I do not think that in photo.net you could bribe any one, this site having its rules, they might sound hard ones but again it is good not to be easy ones, things comes easy, they go easy and there are of no value, If I had to get it the hard way, I will be more honered with it.

My friend Tommy Lee, thank you, you always been great person here, if the cup takes life time to get, I will work for it life time and I will get it.

Thank you my friends and wishing you all of the best

  4. How many photograph the person need to post in order to get the cup, please and what sort of photographs should he

    post ?

Is the cup also invalve with the other activities of the person like visiting and commenting and rating other people work ?

Thank you and best wish, pls

  5. Thank you my friend Micheal, I bought and never used the D2X, still boxed up and I have 8 different lenses with it, the only thing put me off that it is not a full frame camera but I think I might use it to see its result for portrait with the Sigma 70-200 F2.8 and also for macro with the sigma 150MM macro lens, I never used them since I bought them.

The reason why I asked is because I am going to Thailand again in Dec. this year and I plan to have 2 cameras with me weather the EOS1DS Mark III and the 5D with the battry grip or the EOS1DS with the D2X nikon.

I did not not try still photographing flowers and Thailand gardens are full of them and I tought while photographing people in the garden the D2X can be used for the flowers.

I thank you again my friend and wish you all of the best and I am very sorry for the trouble I might caused with my question in here.

    Best regards from Qatar

  6. In order to let the camera see things the way we see them, it is important to understand the relation ship between the shutter speed and the F Stop.

Not just fire, some people see a stationary subject well let and in a great details with their eyes but unfortunately the camera do not see it that way, they see moving subject which the camera also do not see it the way we see it, but if you know how to work out that relation ship correctly you let the camera follow your requirement to take an image and the camera do what it want to do.

Please teach me more, I need to learn to improve my skill and end with some good photographs.

Wishing every one of you all of the best

  7. I prefer having my photos on my working place, i visit my friends portifolo and they do the same for me, they add comments, there is no bad and good comment to me, i make sure i learn when some one try to guide me where i been wrong, other wise i will reamin ignorent for ever and learn nothing.

Rating is no important to me at all, they teach me nothing, specially when some put a rating and never say a single word.

I wish all of you all of the best and sorry for my English, pls

  8. My friend Lex, thank you very much for the nice explanation, I was only scared that something is wrong with my computer memory not ok, other wise if the system do the random show, this is very good and give more chances to the members, I never posted and deleted a photo because rating my images do not really makes a lot of different but the comment I get from my friend do help me to improve myself.

Thank you again my friend and wishing you all of the best

  9. My friend, Helen good evening to you from Qatar.

You remind me when I started taking portrait photographs and they end in a great miss, this made scared and put me off for a while.

Later on, this scaring effect did give me the well to start again, not taken working on portrait photography but to study other photographers work and read a lot of books related to this field.

I promised myself to understand the sort of composition I would feel best for my portraits and to understand the sort of lighting and its temperature to expose my portrait to, this did take time and with a lot of practice, I started to enjoy taken some portrait photographs, they are not all 100% good but much better than where I was when I first started.

Ignore the bad side of it and try harder to over come that bad feeling about how your images turn to be.

Wishing you all of the best my friend

  10. I used Cokin ND and many other filters for year, the adopter is made if hard plastic, if my English is correct, I have machined that adopter to it minimun strenght and used on my 20MM super wide angel lens, I used a grinder to machine it, the effect was sucessful and I gor rid of the corners vignetting effect.

But again, you could use the Cokin filters by holding them by hand and here I mean the P series filters as they are large enough to cover your lens, this way you get the filter as close as possible to the lens element.

Wishing you all of the best.

  11. I have just bought a book from Thailand which is published there by a photographic form, it says on it "The Art Of Still Life Photography" of course I couldn't read any thing out of it but the CD which comes with it ilistrate this field in great details photographic wise, I also bought many books with the CD from the same form like, :"Portrait Photograph", " Landscape Photography" and "commirical Photography", my understanding is not reading but viewing from there I learn a lot.

Last year I bought my still life flexiable table and the large Tent with all of the studio lighting but still I did nothing in this field, like to try it soon.

Wishing you all of the best<div>00Qlrb-69901684.jpg.75ef2f7f63037ea926caf54c82c0ad53.jpg</div>

  12. Thank you my friend, I am just trying my best to learn and improve myself as the time pass.

I find the streets full of great resource to photograph but need to be careful not to draw every one attention and work quitly from a fare distant, no need to have an eye to eye contact with the person I photograph but there is a need to record his natural act.

I try and the rest will depend on the others how to value my work and from there I will learn.

Thank you again my friend and wishing you all of the best from Qatar.

  13. • I was wondering why photo.net do not keep time for the next post of a member, this way I do not just wait

and wait without knowing when can I post an image for critique.

thanks to every one and wishing you all of the best .

  14. Good Evening my friends, I have just received an email from B&H saying that my Mamiya RB67 Pro S is not sporting the Mamiya Digital back, reading the artical on Mamiya page for this back and also on B&H site it says other wise unless my English is not good enough to understand what I been reading, I there fore request some one to check this please and help with this issue, I am very interested to get my RB67 on the digital Mode.

  15. I ordered this lens from Adorama and used it once, not really tried it on normal focus, I kept switching on the ring, I will check again without the soft docus ring engagment, thank you my friend, also this lens shipped to me all the way from the state, may be also because of the postage transportation any damage accoured, I will check if there is a focus problem, thank you you been very helpful.
  16. I have bought this lens 6 months back, used it once and the result was no real good.

The effect of soft focus looked like the image been blurred and not soft as I did long time back with my Canon 85MM

    manual soft focus lens.

Is there any special recommendations on how to use this lens ?

Thank you and wishing you all of the best
