I really like the atmosphere and the contrast. It's really nice and crisp. But I find I always end up looking behind the man at the unfocused area. IMHO, yo should try a simple horizontal flip, I think it might give your composition even more strength.

That's a tremendous shot! How close were you from the "beast"? Great DOF and crisp colours. Definitely a favourite.

The saturated greens againt a dark grey sky is such an underrated combination. Well done!

I really love the atmosphere and the general feel of the image. The B/W suits the picture perfectly. However, IMHO, the composition lacks a true focal point. The house, the tree in the front, the tree on the side and the ones at back all draw your attention equally.

Have you ever tried to use the square format for this kind of pictures, it adds even more to the peaceful mood (check out some of David Fokos pictures, just google him).
