You know, there are some image you just feel like you could walk right into -- this is one of them. Except, that I don't really want to walk -- I want to lay down on that slope and watch the clouds drift by all day.
This really has a wonderful Eden-like quality. Your title is certainly apt.

Wow, Mark, wow. Great colours all over this! The mustard-yellow flowers and the pink clouds are a nice combination and the tree couldn't be a nicer subject.
This so peaceful and rejuvenating an image! I love it.

A moment of calm one lovely morning in Banff. All comments welcome.
Thanks.

Mike, Mehmet and Fred, thank you each for your comments.

Everything Annie already said (except I like the strong light).
Beautiful colours too -- the blues really play off of the red-brown hair nicely.

I love how utterly metallic this appears. Also, the water seems so tactile -- it looks as thick as honey here.
Amazing!

Thanks all.
Piotr, I agree. I wouldn't mind a less 50/50 image with some more of the gorge below. But, I couldn't get any more of the gorge without chunks of distracting foreground entering the frame and I like this as is too much to crop away any of the sky.

Oh, another favourite from this series for me. The absence of a horizon is crucial, I think -- I can then feel even more totally adrift.

Really nice image, Ray. I like the low perspective and I even like the tree. Heck, who wants to look at the shack? The tree is the star!
I do love the gradient in the sky and I think the toning is a treat here.
Left to me own devices, I'd probably dodge up the foreground blooms and burn in the foreground shadows for a touch more contrast in that area. But, that would be making this my image and not yours and I don't think even I can convince myself it would be an actual improvement (rather than simply an aesthetic difference).

There is such a sense of swirling movement here that is very nice. Everything seems to be in motion.
I think the strong shadows of the trunk are probably what 'make' the image.

Wow. This is top notch. The water texture mirrors the rock patterns so nicely (well chosen exposure time). Great colours here too.

Nice composition with the foreground rocks. But, I find the sky colours a little OTT -- especially the pinks.
-
Great textures here. The flowing composition is simple yet affective. Not the best slot-canyon shot, or the most original. But, it is certainly very nice and worth keeping IMO.

I think the gorge is as pretty as the falls.

I agree with Ray, this is indeed lovely. I love the softness of the image and the faint movement of the cloud helps that along nicely.
Interestingly, the soft green grass-covered hill and the exposed light-coloured rocks give this an almost English air.
