i recently purchased a minolta spot meter off of ebay, the ad said it had been
tested, (which led to my purchase) anyway, when i got it, i put the batteries
in and something was loose inside, there was no way to set the ASA, the motor
worked fine, but the asa knob on the outside of the unit would not turn the
(thing) inside, what i was wondering, is there someplace that repairs these
old units, i hear the minolta auto spot is a very good unit. thanks in advance

to give you a little more detail about the issue.... the thin line runs top and bottom over the whole roll. also in the first few frames there were dark spots on the negatives, like undeveolped or something but only on a few. also, i load my own film, i made a mistake and loaded like 42 frames on that roll, would that make a difference? btw your response was in no way vague, i appreciate all input, and thanks again

the tank i use holds 2 plastic reels, it cannot be inverted, it has an
agitation arm (i guess thats what its called) down through the middle of it,
anyway, it came with no instructions, i was wondering if someone would know
the amount of agitation, i need to use, i process for 11 min, thats the
instuctions for a tall tank on the film box, i turn the arm back and forth
continuously the first min, not fast but 1 sec one way the 1 sec the other
way, then 5 sec at 30 sec intervels. this is probably not correct, so any
help would be appreciated

im using a tall tank that cannot be inverted, it has an agitation (thing?) down through the middle of it that you turn back and forth. like i said two rolls ago the negs were great, maybe it was the temp. thanks for your response.

im very new to this, self taught. i found this site while trying to search for
a troubleshooting guide, ive succesfully processed a few rolls of film but the
last batch i did were very thin around the edges, what causes this, also i
developed for the same amount of time i always do, two rolls ago, i couldnt
have asked for better negatives, the lastest negs ive devoped, low contrast
and very thin to nothing around the edges, thanks in advance.

contrast, low contrast. im new at this, ive processed several rolls but what i
think is high contrast negs turns out to be great, and vice versa, could
someone help me with this, thanks
