I'm rusty as all getout! what can I do during phot shooting
to get a aharper, more colorful image?
The day was overcast / grey.
I think I caught the action well, but not happy with color and
contrast.

Having a Beagle, I would more depict the "mind" of which as a vast emptyness, except for perhaps a nose :)
Nice Composition here. I like how the light is shining THROUGH his/her ear.
In looking at the rest of yer portfolio, I like the RICH colors, almost pushing on oversaturation, but stopping just short. Good stuff.
MORE BEAGLE PICS,PLZ!

Nice composition. The teeth look obviously altered, though. I'm curious what the original shot looked like.

Nice composition. It would snap a little better with ahigher resolution and maybe a boost in color saturation.

Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
Fayette is a "ghost town" state park
This is a charcoal kiln interior.
I tweaked color/contrast to hopefully intensify the depth.

I use paintshop pro, I imagine some of the same issues would arise.
What resolution did the original picture start with vs. end up with?
You also might want to ENHANCE edges, sharpness etc. or even up the saturation for a stronger rainbow?

The Brain of the average beagle is 90% serving the function of
smelling and barking. This is what some of the other 10% is for.

I amped the color a bit, too much?
