  1. Paul, I have just retired from working in a real estate office for many years, I uploaded all the photos to the internet. Let me tell you I have seen it all. First agents take all their own pics, point and shoot, they are awful photographers. Just as you stated there dark, fuzzy, and in general lousy pictures. I always tried to let them know, if you have to take a pic of the bathroom, put the lid down, no cat boxes and try to remove the clutter off the counters and all the art off the fridge. Make sure you don't take a picture facing a windows. I have for years offered to take pictures for our agents but they don't want to pay. Real estate agents do work hard for their money, and don't care to part with it. Make be if you could make a connection with high end homes. Good Luck

  2. Thank you everyone for your help. I will have to think about it for awhile. I didn' think they would be so expensive I usually don't have a problem with the cost of a good lens, but today is the first day of my retirement.
  3. <p>I agree with Alan & Dayrl Ann, I only print standard sizes,  only take orders for customs sizes, thats rare.  When I matte a print, on the back of the mylar bag I make note that its a 8 x 10 print, in an 11 x 14 matte so the customer know right off what size frame to purchase. Usually a small sticker.  To print an 8 x 10 on any paper larger than and 8 1/2 x 11 is a waste of expensive paper.</p>
  4. Hi Wesley,

I have a smugmug account , I found it difficut to use, but I kept reading and trying until I accomplished what I

wanted. www.ccommins.smugmug.com.I keep this account for enlargements. My main website is with

betterphoto.com, it was easy to use and has everything you want, but theres the price ,$299.00 per yr.

www dot carolcommins dot com. To me it was well worth the price. They are very helpful and quick to answer your

    questions.

    I hope this helps.

  5. I rent a floor and wall space in a small shop to sell my framed photographs. I also have some prints in other shops

on consignment. I like the rented space, I can controll it better, as far as layout. I also attach a business card to

the back of the photograph. But I don't sell to a retailer, only because past experience, they wanted exclusive rights

for one of my photos. If they purchase your framed images, with no strings attached I agree with Tony.

  6. Just an update on this subject, the web designer did not want to pay for the photo, my quote was within the guildlines of the link you sent. Because I was not a professional I guess she expected it for nothing. I am also previewing the website to make sure that the picture is not being used with out my permission. Thanks again for the help.
  7. I have been contacted by someone who wants to use one of my images on her website. I have never been ask this

before, does anyone have advice. Selling prints is one thing but using my picture on her website is another. I have

no idea where to start as far as questions, pricing etc. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
