50D was $930 at B&H up to last month.
now with rebate $999? not a good deal. It looks like Canon raised price by $130 and then gives a $100 rebate.

Steve thanks for reply. I will be using a X1600 with Vagabond battery pack. I too use two 550EX and use the sun as back light. But like to start using studio lights outdoor for maybe more coverage and better quality light when shooting 3,4 persons group.

Shoot using a fast shutter speed as possible use AF to focus and shutter button to take picture. If you stop down you can get bigger area in focus so it makes it easyer to get in focus image but boke soffers. Attached shot wide open at 1/800 sec, center ponint around chest area 200mm 2.8 L. I know your camera is ok your problem might be the lens.

And I was looking to 7D as my next camera. Not good news my friend. Now I have to get another manufacturers camera and get new lenses. This is not good, wondering if I can sleep tonight. Oh DXO is crap. Never mind all is good again.

Hi I have been asked to take some pictures at a wedding at the court house. I have never done this before. I called the court house and they have a chapel and I will be allowed to take pictures at no charge. Tomorrow I will visit and see the location so there are no surprises I hope. My question is have any of you done this kind of shoot before? Any thing in particular I should pay attention to? If it is not much too ask could you post link where I can see some samples.
Thanks in advance
