Let's look at this another way involving Kdak. All Kodak needs to do is re-establish their film department so this topic is not disscuss again. We still know that there is still a lot of die-hard photographer that still used film. I have not gone to digital and I do not see myself doing it anytime soon. But there should be a discussion about who shoulf buy Kodak film department. Kodak, please restart your film series up again.

Brother Scott, what you have there is called bromine streak cause by agitation. My old college professor show us what
happen to your film when you over agitate. Next time just be a little gentle in your agitation. Remember it is not a Volka
Martini you are making but processing your film.

Back when I was studying photography, the instructor would said what film to used base on the assignment. He also would
suggest what developer to used mostly d-76 1:1. Now and then he would should the different between plus-x and tri-x in
class. My favorite film is still Verichrome Pan in the 120 format and I still have a few rolls of it in the freeze.

To all you digital photographer, I truly never believe that film was ever going to be dead. I still have three rolls of Ektar 25 in 120 format and waiting for a special event to use it. Not that ektar is back and has the iso of 100 and in 120 format, I am going to start shooting it now, Rufus.

Lawson, what format are you talking about. Here in Washington, DC I have been able to Tri-X in Medium format and 35mm, Rufus.
-
Brother Brent, I have over 300 rolls of films in my freezer. I just recently one roll of each and found the b&w is a bit tougher that the color but the color can be corrected during digital retouching.
-
Patrick, I agree with one suggestion of buying Alien Bees for the price and power outrage and for the size of the space you have mention. You might want to consider looking at the Speedotron Force 10 System.
-
Alexander, if you can find them on Ebay, why not another Minolta like the Flashmeter 3 or 4. I have them both and loved them to death, Rufus.
-
DS, being a lab tech myself, why don't you just simply process your film in d-76 1:1 and stop ruining your stock solution, Rufus. I can tell the difference especially when it down to shadow, highlights, texture of your film, Rufus.
-
Rothelle, will I still beable to get Plus-x in medium format, Rufus.
-
Craig, I am a fan of Verichrome Pan and if you decide to process it yourself. Please check with Kodak on the developing time and develpoer to use. I process it in D-76 1:1. I still have a couple of bricks of it in the freezer, Rufus.
-
Craig, it truly depends on what applications you are doing and whether or not you will be doing the process yourself. Experience and see what will happen with different films, Rufus.

Goerge, back in the day, many photgraphers uses Plus-x for the different latitude it brought to the table. Rufus
