viewfinders good, no viewfinders bad.

That sucks Eric- very sorry to hear it. It amazes me how attached you get to
them.unconditional love is very hard to resist.

Vivek, I don't necessarily think "you should" is an appropriate response to what Nels has
shown here. While his compositions may not be my personal bag of rocks, his consistency is
undeniable, and he does knock out a cracker from time to time. It sure beats waxing about
summicrons and what-color-leather.

I had occasion to return three fairly significant repairs to Leica in Solms last year and
found
them to be extraordinarily competent, polite and informative. Everything came back
functioning like new (REALLY like new). One of the best customer service experiences I've
ever
had. Not specially cheap, or fast, but then, well built mechanical instruments and their
(inherently implied) maintenance rarely are.

Definitely the hammer. Also good for repairing your aluminum-foil helmets.

I think black and white is better than colour. Easier to do, but harder to do well.

"Whatever they come up with, I'm sure it will be well built, practical, and very capable.
Everything else they've built has been."
Hahahahahaha!
Isn't Leica famous for creating completely impractical platinum plated collector's pieces
and some really crappy stuff for the R system? There are dozens of Leica products that are
shoddily built, impractical, and incapable of anything but frustrating their (significantly
poorer) customers.
Leica's decline in quality with the M7 and MP is famous. People often get DOA cameras
that proudly bear a certificate certifying they were hand inspected.
Spoken like a true gearhead. Have you ever actually used a camera for its intended
purpose? You should try it, it'll stain your pants less. I'll be ordering mine in black as well-
it'll go nice with my "analogue" M7.

Nice one, Dennis. As we say say here in Dublin- "sure, silver bullets wouldn't killya..." ;)

Gorgeous compositions. One of the most under-rated shooters on the whole forum. We are
not worthy.

Juan, excellent..
