I take umbrage at Ian's suggestion the protagonists "take it outside." These gloves-off posts are what make such forums so appealing. It's a bit like watching Formula 1. It's the crashes, or the expectation of, that keeps most of us glued to our TV sets.

Actually, I think the Swedes, like the Swiss, have pretty much made it clear they want to be kept out of anybody's wars.

I wish we had a "like" button on PN. I would've "liked" Barry's comment. Or a "laugh" button...

Bruno,

I suggest you check out Salaryman Project by namesake Bruno Quinquet, who ingeniously avoided showing recognizable faces in all the photos. It's received a lot of attention and won a few awards.

JD (and everyone else here), I strongly recommend you spend some time looking through the projects entered so far for the Photographic Museum of Humanity 2013 Grant. Lots of ideas from all over the world using all kinds of photographic processes. Quite a few familiar names.

You have until March 4 (extended deadline) to enter your own project. However, you have to sign up and be accepted first.

The typical male mindset: competitiveness, cliquishness, fascination with "gear," narrow-mindedness, need for approval.

Men dominate street photography. You can count of one finger the number of women posting (occasionally) in this forum.

Petri, I enjoyed it, especially the use of light. The opening music was a little shrill though for 7.00 on a Friday morning... Is that your brother playing the later music?
