James - thanks for the comments. No fill flash was used. I don't remember the exact settings, but it was probably at around f4 and 1/30 or 1/60. The shot was taken at about 10:00p. I was crossing the street and there were about 5 or 6 of these guys parked on 7th between 43rd and 44th. There are always interesting subjects in Times Square, no matter what time of day.

I agree with Susan. It has an almost sexual quality to it.

It's underexposed by about a stop and a half.

Technically, it's nice. Good focus, exposure. I would definitely crop out most of the tree over her head, and possibly the light portion to the left.

Technically this is really a beautiful photograph. I'd agree with Amy, though, in her comments about the pose. It looks like something out of Vanity Fair. Then, maybe that's exactly what you were trying to do.

Very nice work. Much more sophisticated than the typical self portrait (or any portrait) seen in these parts. I would agree with a couple of the comments regarding the hand, though, and crop that out.

The biggest thing detracting from the shot is the aluminum siding in the background. It's pretty distracting. You can either try another angle that eliminates this, or use flash on the flowers and blow the background out.
