shaun perry nz 0 Posted July 30, 2001 This portrait was taken as the subject was turning around to the call of her name, otherwise I would never have been able to (or is that allowed to) take this shot. Any thoughts would be helpfull. Link to comment
2yellowdogs 0 Posted July 30, 2001 Technically, it's nice. Good focus, exposure. I would definitely crop out most of the tree over her head, and possibly the light portion to the left. Link to comment
beth_creswell 0 Posted July 30, 2001 I agree with the cropping suggestions. I think the best way to make cropping decisions would be to decide what you want to emphasize and then assess your cropping options. The deepset eyes and delicate mouth on the subject are nice...eliminating some of the tree, the light part beyond it, and the vertical lines of the sunglasses might allow the lines of her chin and hair to emphasize her eyes and mouth. i like the grays in the tree as a background for her face. cropping closer in will allow the grays to have an effect on the portrait. nena_k. 0 Posted August 3, 2001 it would be much better if you cut the left side of the picture. leave only the tree and the fingers Link to comment
